I did NG, NG+, and most of NG+2 in Dark Souls and ended up 100%ing it as like the first game in over a decade I've 100%'d. Now I'm playing Dark souls 3 and after throwing my face against the first boss learning the new system, I went and merked the samurai guy and stole his katana.

I'm back on the CO:E33 train, having a blast enjoying the scenery and enemy design and music and all of thatooooooh, I quit 76 as one of the last big expansions hit, but bigfoot hunting? can we just go back to gta san andreas?
me being a pokemon adult, I'm about halfway through my Leaf Green re-release playthrough, and of course last night had to start Pokopia. Really enjoying it. Just the kind of game needed for so many reasons right now.
Expedition 33 will have to wait to get picked back up.
Did not finish my Leaf Green run yet but did get burned out of Pokopia. Pokemon is always there waiting

I have E33 but haven't put forward the effort for it. I'll be trying to jump in the Discord and maybe just stream gameplay and hope folks join the voice and we can chat. I said I might start Disco Elysium, but instead pivoted to The Outer Wilds. I will earmark E33 as a game to get into.Comment

Work has been busy, so I’m afraid to jump into something new right now.
MLB: The Show 24 franchise mode is my goto.
I was in my second playthrough of RE: Requiem, but man, the big Leon section just doesn’t draw me back. I just want to push through it and get to Insanity mode on a third playthrough.
I’m also slowly trying to 100% E33. There is a bug I sometimes get where my last standing character never dies, and even then took me a long time to get through one optional boss fight.
And, I finished Sonic Blast Man on the SNES… on the Super Nt. What a marvelous machine to play older games on a modern display.sigpicComment

Ugh yes. I was trying to get my daughter to play some retro games and the processor to get anything to look and run properly on a modern TV is a huge pain. Even PS2, GameCube, or Xbox require expensive upscalers with extra power source to run on modern equipment.Comment

For my PS2/Wii/Saturn/etc, I have a RetroTINK 4K. It does the job so well at upscaling the image and adding scanlines that make it look like a CRT (expensive, though).sigpicComment

Not much right now, got a vacation coming up so not playing anything long.
Pokemon Pokopia (Switch 2)
Final Fantasy XIV (PS5)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (PS2)
Planned after vacation:
God of War (PS3)
The Witcher 3 (PS5)Comment

out of interest, what kind of tv are you using with it? i got an analogue 3d back when that launched and running n64 stuff on it doesn't look great on my oled. i also have a backwards compatible ps3 and running ps1 games on that also doesn't look great. ps2 games arent too bad, though. ive been contemplating just straight up buying a sony trinitron crt because ive had that itch for the old days (and they look sick tbf)
currently playing forza horizon 6 (it's really good!) and i just started final fantasy 12 the zodiac age (not bad so far)Comment

I know you weren't asking me, BUT! just to share my experience with retro stuff.
I just recently played Halo 1 on original Xbox and Smash: Melee on a 27" Sony Trinitron. It was a great experience, but the TV is 95 lbs. or ~45 kg.
If you wanna run N64 on a modern TV, you might have to look into an external video processor. I picked up one of these about 5 years ago: https://www.retrotink.com/shop/retrotink-2x-pro. It allowed me I ended up selling the N64 and all the components because I simply wasn't using it. I also had to enable "game mode" on the TV which affected picture quality a bit, but it was better than experiencing ~.25 second input delay.
There's another upscaler that is pretty well-reviewed, but I have never used it so I can't vouch for it: https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/...D2X-HDMI-CABLE1

On a Sony Bravia 4K Ultra HD. Not using any of my older systems on my OLED, and have not tested them there.

The PS2 looks pretty good on the RetroTINK, and I also have the Analogue 3D, SuperNt and MegaSG hooked up to the TV directly.
And while I have a CRT hooked up to an SNES and Sega CD+Genesis+32X monster, I’m starting to lean on playing older games on my HDTV with the FPGA and upscalers. Really like how they look with scanlines on a bigger screen (I did go online for help to mess with the SuperNt and MegaSG settings to get the aspect ratio and the horizonal/vertical syncs just right).

i've got some links saved so i'll definitely take a look when i next get a bit of fun money
speaking of lack of fun money, i had my processor finally conk out and die so i splashed out on the switchover to am5, so new motherboard, new ram, and my ****ing lovely 9950x3d. (bit of explaining here, through a work incentive i was able to secure an 80% discount of a 4090 card, which i've had for nearly 2 years now, but it was always a bit bottlenecked by my older cpu, particularly if i wanted framerate). huge improvement to the pc, but spenny, especially at todays prices. £380 for 32gb ram AFTER my staff discount, and its legit like the most basic *** ram you ever saw, like two bits of plywood with ddr5 written on them in crayon basic. works a belter though hahahaha
despite my megapc, im still playing final fantasy 12 because this game is long as ****. i'm being sincere when i say this because i didn't really play the original version on ps2 (i'm doing zodiac on pc), how the **** did any adult beat this game back then, its so long!! ive been playing for 45 hours, with the game almost entirely on 4x speed, and it never ends! im not like ****ting the bed and dying all the time, im just playing, killing the mobs, finding the hunt monsters and progressing the story, and i don't have any clue if i'm nearly done or not. game's mostly been pretty easy but with random endgame content showing up that i'm still working towards. started okay, but the story and characters haven't really grabbed me like other games in the series. (i'm a chronic 9 enjoyer)Comment
