My niece and son are both big fans of Epic: The Musical! She's excited for the adaptation in the works.

I'll be catching Bug Hunter and The Narcissist Cookbook in Provo in a couple weeks, so thought I'd share a few of their songs:

    Bug Hunter
"Disco! In The Panic Room": https://youtu.be/eTtwjCh4GLY?si=_F9WDlbBbvJIrzAc
    "Dear McCracken": https://youtu.be/aWGolv2iqM0?si=mPIa-gtP03rdxz6W

    The Narcissist Cookbook
    "Practically Imperfect": https://youtu.be/QFXKY4N9RB4?si=25SHf8D2pw4cdmVx
    "The Simplest Words": https://youtu.be/cgUWdougUF8?si=ydf1U7Eqsxib6cB_

My daughter is experiencing her cosmically mandated obsession with Greek mythology, so Epic: The Musical has been playing in the car for every trip. I'm going to be surprising her with a meet and greet with TROY (voice of Hermes) as part of the a Zodiac tour.

I'm gonna go through all these posts and build a playlist when everything here. Twenty years ago, I always felt like my tastes were not aligned with everybody's because I was an annoying, snobbish jerk. Now it's different because, frankly, I'm still annoying, but the opposite of a snob because I think my music tastes are terrible but I have a lot of fun with it.
This is my private list. It features Purple Disco Machine, Sophie and the Giants, Loud Luxury, POWERS, B0RNS, The Naked and Famous, and many others. It's just a bit of fun and upbeat music to get through most of a workday or a long workout or a bout of diarrhea.

Before Palace of Mirrors, there was Buck Fever. And no one I've ever met in the wild has claimed to have heard of either album. It's hard to believe this unhinged fever dream of a listening experience is already 25 years old, but it remains to this day one of my strange obsessions. My interest in giving it yet another listen reawakens every spring, go figure. 'The Silent Elk of Yesterday' is still one of my favorite metal songs- even if, or maybe because, it seems to be satirizing the metal genre while somehow sounding like it was composed by a band that actually takes their metal seriously.
