MOTHER...
Happy Mother's Day, folks! I hope that you and/or the mothers in your life - your wives, girlfriends, own mothers, grandmothers, or even your own child possibly at this point - have a great one!
For the mother's in my life:
My own mother and I are only in contact when she expects money or labor, so it's not known if she'll be around. We'll see!
My mother-in-law is going to come by the house at around 11 for lunch, and I'm preparing a deviled egg potato salad while I boil bratwurst with peppers and onions before tossing them on the grill. We'll eat and hang out on the back porch for a couple hours, assuming the weather cooperates.
My wife's gift is that I cook for and entertain her mother, because she can't stand the woman. I'm not a huge fan, myself, but it keeps the wife happy as I act as a barrier between her and her mom's judgement.
What are you going to be doing today for those mothers in your life?
