What anime are you watching? Reading any manga?

I am impatiently waiting for the Chainsaw Man movie online because I'm too poor to go see it in theaters. I am uptodate on the manga, and actually finally finished Bleach and read all of Jujutsu Kaisen this year too. Speaking of JJK, i ****ing love Modulo so far

Tonight I also made my first AMV ever!!! Its complete HORSE**** but i did it! i have the project file saved with all the edits so i can go back and fix it but i just wanted to get it done

as i've gotten older, i've had a lot less taste for anime

not saying it's bad, but it doesn't hold my attention anymore

like, i finished reading bleach after it got canned the first time and have no interest in the blood war

i still like anime as an aesthetic, but it's very difficult to get me to watch all 26 or 52 or however many episodes they've put out

that said, i still need to check out city (nichijou is one anime i vibe with) and probably eizouken as i love drawing

I was never into anime. I had the exposure through Toonami of Dragon Ball (Z), YuYu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Naruto, and a slew of others, but never could get into them. In ~2002, I watched the full 13 episodes of Helsing, and was wildly overwhelmed. I remember thinking, "This is what people are going nuts over?" Yeah, I had an extremely limited scope, but I had an extremely limited mindset.

Now, I'm not a fan of anime, but I'll watch it occasionally. I have a group of friends that will hop into Discord and kinda Mystery Science Theater 3000 their way through movies or serieseseses (that's the proper plural form of series, seriously, don't look it up). "Weathering With You" was not too bad a movie, although the plot got rrreeeeaaaal thin real quick. "School Days" was horrid, and i only watched a couple episodes before I gave up while the rest of the group soldiered on. "Space Dandy" is one they've started recently and it's just as ridiculous as I might expect.

I'll keep trying new stuff, but I doubt that I'm going to try something and it'll be like the end of Ratatouille, instantly transporting me back to a simpler time.
