We had a Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 Tournament!

I feel very fortunate that the city I live in has a thriving Pinball and Arcade Scene.

And in recent years they have added Consoles in and this has included a Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye Tournament for the past 3 years.

So, here is the Goldeneye Tournament:

    And Mario Kart:

Have you had anything else like this in your area?
I enjoy it so much I would travel for this kind of experience, it is so much fun.
The hype for Mario Kart was intense!

I was into Smash for a while (Melee and a little bit of Brawl)
I was never great at it but met some great people through it.

I prefer these older games because I find Smash is too serious and this has the perfect balance between fun and competitive.

    That's super dope.

I live in NYC so there are tons of events. My issue is finding the time to make it out to one. One thing I have noticed, is that the fighting game events are starting to peter out. East coast throwdown just got put on indefinite hiatus. I don't want it to be that only the very huge events are viable.

The smaller, low key events are what keeps communities strong.

      Hell yeah.

Some of the best memories are from the smaller events.

And sometimes its the non gaming related stuff and cool people you meet and side activities you get up to.
