Giveaways are great, and for that reason I've always felt that the Wonder Trade feature is one of the best things the franchise ever did. Especially on Christmas when veteran players mass wonder trade shinies and rare mons so that brand new players can get something special right away.Leave a comment:

Thankfully just the two! One normal and one shiny. It's actually kind of annoying to get Spinda into Home though. I don't think you can import them from BD/SP or Go. So my normal one is from OR/AS and the shiny I actually hatched in Alola because to be honest Gen 3's always been my least favorite and the least time spent on those carts was my goal.Leave a comment:

Holy **** dude that is bonkers. I remember how cool and accomplished I felt for collecting all 150 Pokemon in Red (before we knew how to get Mew with glitches), accomplishing that same level of completion NOW is utter insanity. I admire the dedication, especially going for legit captures from the original game as much as possible.

Pokemon!
Anyone else spend way too much time and money on the Pokemon franchise? Pictured below is the beginning and end pages of my "Complete Dex" which includes one copy of every different obtainable form of every released Pokemon. This includes alternate forms (example, Therian and Incarnate genies, all the Alcremies), gender forms, regionals, and of course all of the corresponding released shinies. If it can be stored in Pokemon Home as a unique entry, and is officially released, I have it. Additionally, almost all of them are self caught with my OT. None to my knowledge are genned, but let's be real, I didn't do the shiny Manaphy hunt myself so that's probably the only real asterisk in this entire collection.
The third pic is with the filter "Has someone else's Trainer Info" turned on, so 61/2730 are not "mine" - but looking closer, they almost are all either 1) An official event release, 2) An in-game trade, or 3) caught by a close friend/family member. Exceptions are Shiny Manaphy, Enamorous (I gotta replay Legends: Arceus all the way through again for a second one), Shiny Reshiram (I have a self-caught one in Go I may replace this one with if I don't want to shiny hunt in-game), and Blacephalon/Shiny Silvally (Most recent and actually my OT, but I literally ran out of room to assign accounts as "My OT" in Home!).

All Gen 1 mons are caught in virtual console R/B/Y
All Gen 2 mons are caught in virtual console G/S/C
All Gen 3 mons are caught in OR/AS
All Gen 4 mons are caught in BD/SP
All Gen 5 mons are caught in Black/White
All Gen 6 mons are caught in X/Y
All Gen 7 mons are caught in Sun/Moon besides Blacephalon (UltraSun), Stakataka (UltraMoon), Meltan/Melmetal (Go)
All Gen 8 mons are caught in Sword/Shield besides Hisuians (Legends: Arceus)
I determined that I was ok with shinies from any game they are available in, including Go (271/1340 shinies are from Go).
