    how do you feel?

it's been decades for most of us since we were active on these forums. we're "old." dinosaurs. relics. survivors of an internet age chock full of 56k dial-up porn, unrestricted gore, and skeevy aol chatrooms. is life good? have you achieved goals? are you satisfied with the way you've grown and changed over the years? i'm 33 -- joined these forums when i was freshly 10 years old -- divorced with a beautiful daughter and mild back issues. my career path has been unsatisfying but the bills are paid. my friends are scattered all over the country but we keep in touch. things could be worse. there are slumps into depression but that's probably fairly normal for most these days. life could've gone differently but i can't complain a ton about the spot i'm in now.

how about you? how do you feel?

I'm lucky to be in a good situation all around. Just wish I had taken care of myself better to get here.

Doing well, all things considered. Had to close down my arcade, as the mall I was in completely tanked the last couple of years I was there. No foot traffic at all anymore. That gave me the opportunity to seek better employment though, and I found a fantastic job that pays really well in the Milwaukee area.

Fell in love with an amazing woman and married her. Bought an old but nice house back in 2016, thank goodness. Best decisions I've ever made.

If the USA wasn't about to go tits-up with the rest of the planet soon to follow, I'd be ecstatically happy right now.

36, will be 37 in January, Been married for 5 years, together for 7 almost 8 years. We have a son arriving in May. I worked for local casinos for a decade then got the hell out and drifted until I got a position as an IT for a small local company. Been there almost 4 years now and I wear at least a dozen hats lol.

I didn't keep up with many people from the internet forum days. ProtomanJMB and AKDemon are the only 2 I did. Wish I had followed up with the rest of yall, but at least we're here now .

i guess i should be more specific about my situation in life...

fell into a severe mental illness (illness on both sides of the family, good times) and kinda crashed. had to move back in with my mother and am only a few credits away from an associate's degree. :>

came out as trans a few years back, hopped onto hormone therapy, found a polycule of other transwomen that i fell into

life could be worse but it sure as **** could be better too

Congrats on being close to your associates! it took me 9 years to get one but still counts! I started my first college course the day my first child was born, from the delivery room. Finished it a year AFTER securing the first career-path job of my life. Turns out the skills developed while hosting/designing/maintaining forums and websites back in the mid 00's plus an almost-degree were juuuuuust enough to get me into IT with a major company.
