Where are we now?

Postby Aesthetic » February 29th, 2016, 8:45 pm

It's been a few years since I've been here. I had no idea that everyone left! Though we did move on, didn't we? If any regular memebers visit and see this, give a little update. Doesn't have to be anything personal, or it can. I just wonder who will crawl out of the woodworks, if anyone.

Hmm, guess I should mention I was Pianoforte before Aesthetic, and dragonslayer87 before then - at age 13, I think. I'm now 28, have a beautiful daughter - unconnected to any other vgc member hahaha - and am posting on my old message board as my other half plays his game. We have some cats, of course. Life is good.

Let's hear it! Anyone out there?

Haha, that just sends me to my messages. You mean everyone's on facebook? Or just showing how easy it was to find me? Lol. Jesse, you're allowed to stay a virgin as long as you want, I have no qualms with that. If you weren't wacko, you wouldn't be Jesse.

That's an actual conversation with 25 vgc members in it. aka, they all left the forums and are hanging out on Facebook now. Then there's

Ah. Guess the link just doesn't work properly for me for some reason, can't see the conversation. But I might join the group. Thank you for letting me know!

july 2001, i was barely 10 years old when i joined... first name was "ss900 gotenks." :x good times. can't believe jesse made me a super-mod at age 13. i'd never trust a 13 year old to moderate a page that i depended on to make my living.
now 24 (25 in may), living in austell, georgia with one of my best friends and working a fancy pants corporate job. long live vgc.

edit: after review, you **** super-modded me at 12. you really are a wacko. :P

I remember you. I still talk to Trigger on facebook every so often, but no one else. I wish more members frequented the boards more, even if just for nostalgia. It took me awhile to check back in, but I was surprised. Facebook is more convenient, I suppose. Before vgc, I went to Cheat Planet, then Ninworld, which led somehow to cheats2k... a guy with the username of smokey was the admin, I think. VGC was the last place I ever went, mainly because too much in-person history came from here. But man, ha, definitely made me who I am today. A shift supervisor! Hahaha.

Ahaha yup! I remember you too! Just can't remember your real name :/ but aww I'm so happy for you!! I had always wanted to move to Washington, or even Alaska. Maybe someday... oh you're not so much older than me! Just a year, if that. When we were younger, I thought you were like 18 when I must've been 14 because you had such mature posts in comparison to a lot of other people haha. Congrats on moving to the place of your dreams. :)

I'm a mining equipment salesperson for my personal hell job and a songwriter as my actual thing I am doing that I enjoy. I've made quite a journey across the country and have met and befriended people from all walks of life I've moved from the southwest to southeast to midwest and ho boy what a trip. ~Toodles

It's been a long time! Still in NY. Getting my Master's. Working full time. Almost done with school for the first time in my life. Still gaming when I have time, still reading lots of books, still traveling whenever I can, and still all about experiences. It's good to see you.

Wow, it's literally like a time capsule that link.
It's actually quite interesting seeing what people back then used to discuss about.

*Haha I was able to find my "Games are getting worse" thread. Unfortunately, I'm unable to actually view the threads contents.

PHILLY WHAT

I sit in a cubicle all day listening to podcasts. I'm trying to write. I still go on Second Life, and I've been playing Street Fighter V lately. Screw Facebook.

I moved out of my parents' house finally a year and a half ago! I live here now: http://imgur.com/ndYOuaj,wBI7LjT,AZv6H4 ... DO,UoCFDGH It's near University City.

Haha Jesse, nah, you do sound the same, but you were already about 27 when I joined. When you reach that age, you basically remain the same person. I went from trying my best to be witty and likable on the Internet, and I'm a mom now haha.

Kudos on moving out, Draxamus! My sister just moved out of our parents' house a few months ago at age 35. Best feeling ever.

Whoaaa how did I miss this?? Hey Kamek!! Wow, long time no see. Good to see you too!! Awesome that you're getting your master's. I visit NY now when I want to visit my family, only have been able to once since having my daughter, but definitely planning on more visits when I get more money saved. I'm planning on buying a car within the next couple of days, finally! And possibly a house in the next few months. :D

It's weird how this place popped in my head not that long ago. I wasn't ever super popular around here or anything (not that I remember at least), but I got oddly nostalgic for it and remember enjoying this place. I remember most of the people here, except for the username of the guy who was mod or whatever of Darkness Advanced. Ant's friend.
