Hah! Remembered the password for this site for the second time. Who's a badass? You're right it's me.
We just did the birthday stuff for the kid last week, and, I gotta tell you, birthdays are pretty awful when there's an obligation to invite people. My family and in-laws felt like they had to be here to celebrate and pretty much imposed themselves into my home. It's absurd how much people will put into a party when the guest of honor has no idea what's going on.
The child looked confused for 99% of the party; that confusion changed to wonder, though, when she got her birthday present, which was alright, I guess.
The wife wants to quit her job, and I say hell no. Not that we can't afford it, but her and the child already get enough time together to plot against me, I'm not giving them any extra. Right now, they're working on a form of sleep deprivation torture, where there only make noise after 7 PM. I'm onto them, though, and have started spending an extra hour at work to sleep. This psychological warfare may go in a while, but I'll show no signs of weakness.
My condolences in regards to the family, AA. Families are awful. Family members and friends are like Belushi brothers: the good ones leave too soon and the bad ones never go away.
Heyr Aesthetic, rough deal on the two jobs. Can't say I envy it, and that's an understatement. Best of luck handling that biz.
