I kinda miss the days chatters would include their friend codes after their names in the chats.if that's considered a fad.

Other memorable fads:

The Fatening- everyone changed their avatar/descriptions to look exactly like feemail veteran Fate , confusion ensues. Goddang DA you had like a monopoly on fad production or something

Junior Senior's blog- almost exclusively about her farts/period. I guess this doesn't really count as a fad considering only one or two people participated in it but it went long enough that it became on of the accepted sideshows on the site

Trolling Wireforums - Some vgchat vets- mainly Klarth/fnool- had a mildly serious grudge against another web forum that had a convoluted relationship between it and vgchat. The occasional "why wireforums sucks" discussion became a routine occurance in the early/mid 2000s

Also the chat had plenty of good ones, but I want to link to them properly when Jesse gets the rest of the archive set up. Two that come to mind:

BLVD/Spam Nation - The most dedicated group of psychotic spammers in vgchat history. Created several forums dedicated exclusively to harassing us and their drama eventually spilled over to the boards

Raymond quotes- The "JackWriter" of the chats, he tended to make a lot of people mad and not understand why. Quoting the legendary Raymond is still generally considered funny in any context

Raymond never made me mad, his trolls were hilarious and like you said, quoting him is epic and an easy way to bbrighten your day lol.

The BLVD saga was pretty wild. I just wish i could see how he/she actually looks and commend them for years and years of dedicated hard work. They wanted to destroy the chats so bad.

BLVD was just... Weird.
I remember getting mad at them about something.

It's not like it matters anyway. Their threads and posts are old history that I kind of don't want to remember. Just for obvious reasons. It was like the drug addicts lounge part of the forums.

The Panic saga

His shitty posts, making alts to talk to himself, posting stupid pictures and YouTube videos and his repeated attempts to self-destruct before inevitably returning.

Most likely going to get slammed for this-

The Kid Dynamite Era. Sure, he had a lot of odd posts, but hell, the guy was dedicated and gave plenty of threads activity.

Aleck Wars - Late 2009 saw the emergence of this old user who single-handedly took the chats in his iron grip and managed to have dethroned about all the moderators at the time and replaced them with people he feels should be trusted with power. 2010 saw the struggling and losing uphill battle of former moderators and another old user, Astanax, try to restore the chats to their rightful order. Only to be thwarted by Aleck's cleverness and knowledge of the chat's code and his capability. The war saw it's end when Aleck made a misstep against FNool and got banned for pissing him off.

BLVD/Spam Nation/BULLY - Ahh yes, these nut nuts. To this day, the fake VGChat site they've made is still around, all made by disgruntled former users and users who caused trouble but felt they were screwed over. It was cute for it's time seeing them try to be justified in their actions, but were really living in denial and came off as extreme cultists with the main goal of destroying VGChat's chat rooms and tried stealing members away to populate their site with. No doubt their grudge against VGChat has fizzled completely.

Goten - A nut nut who has convinced himself that Dexter is the cause of all of his problems and was willing to prove it by acting obnoxious and is determined to gain mod powers. His mission has been an utter failure and is only seen now as pathetic entertainment at best.

"I'm Modicus" - Everyone and their mother wanting and trying to claim position of moderator on this site. That was all crazy and everyone sounded like political candidates as to why they should be considered as a mod and what they'd do for the site to make it better. Some people were very silly about it and it was funny at first, but then it got ridiculous as people who obviously aren't cut for the position just flatout began begging.
