It's hot out, and I hate it. Why can't it be fall already?

Taking my first realistic steps back into college with the whole financial aid deal. Sucks waiting on so many "approvals" from different people, but it's looking good so far. Hopefully enough of my credits will transfer so that I only have to take 6 classes (3 semesters) worth so I won't have too much debt. ~sigh~ we'll see.

I thought you were talking about VGC until I read the second part.

VGC is certainly not as active as it used to be. Lately I've been just kind-of realizing who I am vs what other people have thought I should be. guess I had it more right when I was younger...just up and walked out on a friend that was visiting drunk when I realized just how different I really was compared to him. Guess I'm more of a hopeless romantic by being with just one person oppose to this whole **** game of "gotta catch-em all, don't settle, score score score" I just don't care. meeeh~ netflix then passing out. Always wanted to be a bar person, guess it really hasn't been my forte~ idk, drunk posting. mad. depressed. idk... X-files is an awesome show.

listen to a little bit, but I rather listen to Chris Weitz talk about the new starwars movie :D

man~ last two weeks have been pretty crazy, but definitely got a good refresher of why you never look back. Sick as a dog right now, between my boss's **** earlier and my friend visiting, I've drank waaay too much and lol hardly slept. It's been hard to sleep. but now all the partying and distractions have gotten me pretty sick as of now~ though the silver lining is getting sick helps quite a bit with laying off ciggs (apparently how my dad quit). Money being pretty tight, I'll have no choice really. Day 7 of getting clean off my other vices~ though it feels weird not getting excited all the time, but the nightmares of seeing the past silber, what led to what~ all I get left is myself to save.

ON A BRIGHTER **** NOTE:

If anyone has Raptor's contact info, I'm in Hawaii for a week. Ohahu and Maui. Let me know via PM. I'd love to link with him.

kamek - reached out to corrupt about raptor's info for you. I can't do much else but you could explore Raptor's spirit by adventuring in observation towers at night and abandoned buildings on the islands.

zebro - you're missing out if you don't listen to multiple episodes. if you're not a serious fan of the series (early seasons) or if you didn't grow up thinking maybe some of them were realistic, you'll probably miss out on this particular show. a show that has surprised me and become awesome is The Killing on Netflix. I started in halfway while my girlfriend tried to explain it to me (she is terrible at explaining things), but by the end I really cared for the characters even though I judged them harshly (as non-care-ables) at the beginning. Holder became this hilarious and idealistic figure and Linden developed into a super-human but vulnerable being. I love the episode toward the end where Holder is drunk the entire time while Linden is struggling with a serious issue. Excellent character development.

I'm headed to a bachelor party tonight. First I've been to that I didn't host. It'll be nice to just hop in a van, get drunk, see some titties, and settle in a cabin far from home. Tomorrow I'll be a part of cooking a huge breakfast and sending everyone off on their dazed way. Basically the perfect weekend. If only I didn't have to also finish these physics reports at the same time... I'll be glad next year when school isn't a part of my free or work time. Busy recently. What I want to do is expensive.

raptor and i haven't actually talked in the past few years unfortunately, but i do want to try to reconnect soon. i can send him a PM here, but aside from that the only thing i can really do is call his (very old and probably outdated) cellphone number, which i just did. also as far as i know he doesn't currently live in hawaii, he moved to the pacific northwest some time ago. but if he is prowling around the islands, it'll likely be the big island because that's where he lived. sorry i can't be of any help to you man, but at the very least enjoy your trip! it's beautiful down there.

Last I spoke to him he was moving back. He gave me his contact info which I foolishly left in my PMs and not somewhere more secure. Ah well. I will post about my epic adventures another time.

watching the pilot right now for The Killing before I go to work, looks interesting so far. Taking a break from X-files; can't say I'm a serious fan considering this is the first year I actually really watched the show lol

Deadline for fixing my taxes is coming up and shittageInn STILL won't give me a copy of a 2012 W2 (I've attempted to get this several times this past year). Had to make 5 phone calls going though all the channels only to be redirected to talking with a GM that I don't even know who has to make the same calls. Without that filed I can't finish my fesca application, and without a income history I can't apply for healthcare. So, pretty much freak'n out how important this one damn piece of paper would domino all my other problems away. >_< don't ever lose your W2s. It's a ***** to fix.

Are you up here yet? I recall you hinting towards moving to Cascadia some time ago.

I'm pretty much on the Canadian border north of Bellingham, which I proudly call my home city. If by "shithole" you're referring to San Diego in general, then I would have to agree. The coastal areas, especially Ocean Beach, are about the only places there worth spending much time in, and perhaps unsurprisingly, OB is the only part of the city I miss. Though, you may be referring to somewhere else you ended up, for all I know. We definitely need to catch up!

I would definitely love to get back in touch with you as well. And I'm eager to hear more about your adventures in paradise!

I'm likely to be remain a mainlander for at least a couple more years, but I do intend to move back home. I have seen surprisingly little of Maui for how close it is to my home island. Where exactly there did you go exploring?

Everyone's hangin out on the phone, chillin by the phone, using the phone all the time. Always available if you have their number. I used to hide in the cold pantry sitting on a step stool, talking on the landline late at night until the entire sharp plastic handset was covered in my sweat and ear grease. This was only after the big cordless set started beeping because of a low battery in the entertainment room where I'd roll around on the floor on my boner. The same landline was connected upstairs at my parent's bedside, so I knew when I heard a loud clicking noise it meant I'd been caught. I'd get quiet and wait... but they knew I was on the line because there was no dial tone. One time I tried holding a random key to fool my dad but it was the wrong pitch. BEEEEEEEE-GET-EEEEEEEE-OFF THE-EEEEEE-PHONE-EEEEEP AND GO TO BED! ...sorry dad.

But the phone gives us freedom, efficiency, and opportunity! You don't want to miss it... you're not vulnerable. Your time isn't being wasted by anyone. The people around you aren't wrong. Don't you want to keep in touch with your boss, jot down a note about the dream you had last night, and record yourself jacking off in a public restroom? Whatever you use it for, keep it near you. Be available. Boundaries are for other things, not your cell phone. Sleep near it, let it wake you up and let your loved ones type their feelings for you on it. Embrace the government's plan to sterilize the masses by detonating devices hidden in all cell phones. Don't tell anyone because they know it's true but they're more scared of being alone than being part of a group that is certainly doomed.

I used to always post in this thread when I had a lonely, introspective, reflective, or sad night. Tonight feels like one of those nights and it sucks that this place has finally died. It sucks.
