Last movie you watched

Postby Crazy K » February 27th, 2015, 11:18 am

What was the last movie you watched? How was it? Feel free to either give us a rating or just discuss the movie. I don't care.

Last movies I saw were:

Fury - Great film. Not the greatest war film I've ever seen, but it had its moments and was quite good.
Nightcrawler - Jake Gyllenhall (or however the hell you spell his name) is insane in this film. I think it's one of his best acted films. I really enjoyed this one.
John Wick - Awesome film. I'm not a huge fan of Keanu Reeves, but I really got into this film. The choreography of the many fight scenes and shootouts was quite good.

I thought it was quite good too. I especially like Robert De Niro in it, so weird seeing him in such a movie.

Lucy. Honestly not as bad as I expected, though the director will never top what he gave us in the 90s, like The Professional and The Fifth Element.

That's a badass movie, especially for the time. The director used to give us some good movies, but he's easy for me to avoid these days.

Wild Card. It was sort of whatever. One of those macho movies.

Resident evil retribution.
I thought it was pretty good, nice to see characters return like Luther, reign and Carlos!
The best part of the movie to me anyway was the fight between Alice and Jill Valentine nearing the end!
Why can't we play as Alice in the games?!!....god dammit..

Skyfall: A bit hard to follow and overlong but a good Bond flick. Would watch again.
The Amazing Spider Man 2: Boring and nowhere near as full of character as the first one. I liked Jamie Foxx but that's it. Would not watch again.
Big Hero 6: Excellent and fun. Like a Marvel flick for kids, and as I type this my 4 year old heard a motorcycle outside and yelled "Tadashi is here!". Would and have rewatched.

The Captive. Nothing special here, though I did find it amusing when they were all professionally bundled up by the computer having a blast trying to capture the pedos like they're trying to help their friend get a date like lol.

I recently rewatched Rango. I normally don't like movies about movies (and theatre about theatre), which seldom do anything but jerk themselves off (see: Hugo), but Rango is **** great.

Birdman is also a great movie about movie/theatre about theatre.

I just saw Gatsby.

The book is a good read. It's one of those gems I pick up every so often to read as I always discover something new. I was expecting the movie to be amazing but was let down. Not that the movie was entirely bad, it just left a bittersweet feeling in my mouth. I don't know whether I liked it or not.

The Godfather was one I watched recently.
Delved deep in explaining the Mafia and the business that's involved with it.
Very good movie, 9.5/10.

Watched the 1915 silent film "The Birth of a Nation" based on the 1905 Ku Klux Klan novel "The Clansman."

Watching it for research purposes. Trying to get a perspective of what life was in this era and why this film would stir up controversy.

This movie was the bomb! The action was intense and the whole thing was over the top.

Last movie I saw was Lucy. I'll be honest, I wasn't paying attention. The movie failed the capture my attention. :(
