View Full Version : Wow, today really sucked

Yeah, for some reason I needed pointless and ineffectual surgery on my steadliy necrotising foot. Because I'm in Britain, where they don't believe in general anesthesia, I just got a tourniquet and an incompent, syringe-wielding oldie as pain relief. Somehow the twelve injections (I counted) failed to properly numb it down, so when the jittering psychopath slicing into the infection, I was still *crystally* aware of what he was doing. F*cker. Hope he rots.
It could have been worse; the Dr. had a really hot american intern, but I was too fascinated in the juxtaposition of my gushing foot and my GP's idiotic grin.
The REAL highlight was when my mother came in from the waiting room and said "Turn off your norwegian death metal so you can hear your phone".
The tube journey home was especially grim.
Sleeping now, before Derrick gets hungry.

Ugh. I'm probably going to have to going to the doctor to get my neck fixed; I got some whiplash from a wreck a while back. Anyway, it sure as Hell better not hurt more than it does now.
It sucks that they're just slicing you up, man. Kick the old man in the face next visit.

That's quite the grim and frostbitten story. Also fairly gross.
And your mom made me lol. Was it even Death Metal?
The Autist
28th March 2006, 07:15 PM
It was Opeth. Normally, it would be Carpathian Forest.
My parents cannot tell Death Metal from.... PURE UNHOLY TNBM!!!!!!!
So my response was a witty "Get real, mom. Death Metal is so ten years ago."
And the slicing continued.

Pff, what a stupid woman. Everyone knows Opeth isn't Death Metal. Punch her in the temple for her ignorance.
Wait, what CF album would you've been listening to? Because if it was any of their first three, I'd have to lable you as unkvlt, sir.

"*Rand BM Playlist"
Including various other bands, selected at random.
Most CF on that day's list was "Defending the Throne of Evil" stuff.
"Spill the Blood of the Lamb" being the most recently played, "Pierced Genitalia/One With The Earth" the highest rated, and "Cold Murderous Music" the most frequently played.
iTunes statistics are the devil.

Yeah, random's the only way to listen to music. And I approve "Defending the Throne...". Good album, in fact, probably their best.

I thought that had said, "For some reason I needed pointless and ineffectual sugar on my steadily necrotising foot." I was thinking, 'wtf, mate? Sugar?'

That list is a treasure trove of good bands. Im impressed with the 20 days of available music...impressive indeed.
Btw, i got my top two wisdom teeth pulled 3 weeks ago. No sort of anesthetic whatsoever...so, i feel your pain. Military dentists suck...i bled for a week and a half, and all i got out of it was a bottle full of motrin 800 (equivelant of 4 advil per pill). So needless to say i felt like i was sucking on a raw steak for almost two weeks, with no painkillers...twas fun.

Hah, that sucks so much. I remember getting mine pulled. My whole mouth was numb luckily, so other than the oddest feeling I've ever experienced, it was a breeze. Until the next day anyways. But thank the lawd for painkillers.

yeah, i guess i drew the short straw because my buddy went and got his pulled last week, and i guess the other dentist is certified in IV drip anesthetic...so he was practically knocked out. Plus the gave him oxycotin which im sure helped out a ton. He had all four of his pulled, and had to have a couple of them dug out so i suppose that also might be the reason i got the shaft...due to the sheer simplicity of takin mine out. I had a dentist that was prior Army turned air force...and he had a thick russian accent which was obviously comforting; so he stood there and said "these will be super easy...ive pulled thousands of teeth...with not so many problems. Usually easy...cant gaurentee it...but usually easy". It only took about a minute on each tooth...and i have to say...it was certainly a strange feeling.

Yeah, same here. My two bottom ones grew in sideways, so they had to cut open the gum and whatnot. I couldn't imagine having to actually feel that happen...

Wow, i guess i was just lucky mine came in straight...and the ones on the bottom have enough room. Did you have your cheecks stitched to you gums, cuz my friend back home had his pulled out and they did that too him. Was funny, he could hardly open his mouth...but the plus side was that he got to live off 7/11 slurpees for like 5 days.

... no, thankfully. That sounds really painful...
Though, yeah, I couldn't really open my mouth for a couple days. But that's better than having your cheeks stapled to your gums :cookie:

Hmm, i wonder why they did that then? I must have been really lucky, aside from the weeks of bleeding, i didnt have any swelling or soreness...in fact i was eating stew the same day...and porkchops the next.

What's with the terrorgrim dentistry? Christ.
Eh, I had four bicuspids pulled out a few months ago, and I had ANOTHER ****ty British anesthetist. I could feel the top two detaching from my skull, but I got a day off school and managed to milk another three days absence with the clever application of bleeding gums and outright lies. So that was cool.

my *** vamp, I don't know what to choose from there. I've never heard of most of them. So, anything you'd recommend that isn't like super death metal.
Oh, and how much Dream Theater do you have?

Yeah, all of it. Even though I dislike pretty much every single album.
But really, it depends on what you're willing to listen to. A lot of that is harsh vocals, but not ZOMG BRUTAL DEATH METAL. You just kind of have to give me an idea about what you like, and I can go from there.
How about this, get on AIM and I can send you some stuff. See what you like, what you don't, and then I'll zip up whatever you want.
