Question RPG's on the DS

What kind of Rpg games are we supposed to expect on the DS. I'm really hoping that nintendo gets the rights to EverQuest becuse that would be fun.

I would also like to see another nintendo final fantasy game on the DS.Hopefully better than Crystal Chronicles.

I guess... but after Nintendo blew it on that game do you think they'll try again? At this point I'd expect Nintendo to only get the sh*t FF games, so I probably wouldn't bother with a new FF for a nintendo system of any kind.

They're remaking a Final Fantasy game for DS, one that apparantly was never released, aswell as a DS version of Crystal Chronicles.

Don't forget Pokemon Diamond. Whenever a new handheld comes out a new Pokmeon game is sure to come out soon too. I just hope these new RPG's have online play so it will bring more fun out when playing with others through the net.

Where did you hear that? Considering Everquest is a product of SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) I doubt it will be moving to Nintendo, and stay on the Sony Playstation.

I only got Mario 64 DS also, Im reserving Dynasty warriors DS, and my friend is going to buy me madden 2005 DS for my birthday.

I hear good expectations on Rayman DS. I have never played one but Im going to ask what its like, maybe something I'd be interested in.

I can't WAIT for Dynasty Warriors DS, Dynasty Warriors 3 was one of the first three games I got for my PS2 and I loved it. I hope they give you the ability to create a REALLY unique character.

Also, I got Madden 2005 with my deal from EBGames and although the graphics are way below DS standards so far the gameplay is still extremely fun! The bottom screen on the DS shows Xs and Os so you can see who is open just by looking on the bottom screen.

And the Rayman games are extremely fun, this one on the DS looks like it has the feel of the N64 version, which I like a lot. If you don't know, your this little guy with a torso, hands, feet, and a head(that's right, no neck, arms, or legs) and you can shoot little blasts from your palms along with many other powers you get along the away.

Secret of Mana is in the works. I hope they keep the original gameplay mechanics in place as opposed to the more Legend of Mana-style the series has featured lately.

Another looks to be a promising adventure game. I've always been a fan of Shadowgate and Myst-style puzzle-solvers on the PC, so I'm looking forward to one that uses the DS's unique capabilities.

Advance Wars, Fushigi no Dungeon, MegaMan Battle Network, Harvest Moon, Legend of the River King, Vandal Hearts, Shin Megami Tensei, Slime Morimori Dragon Quest, and Survival Kids are also in the works for the system. Not too bad a lineup of RPGs, I'd say.

There's also a nifty Survival Kids-like adventure coming out called "Lost in Blue". I'll see if I can get some screenshots.

EDIT: This might actually be the Survival Kids game Coarse is talking about, I'm not sure who makes Survival Kids so I can't tell.

That would be interesting. I can't really think of any games that HAVEN'T been made. I'm looking forward to the Megaman Battle Network game, myself. I have also reserved Mario Kart.

It will probably be like Super Circuit. You can play with one kart, but with multiple carts you have access to more features.

It's funny that you said that because shortly after posting that I asked my Friend about it and he said the same thing.I guess I don't have problem with it either way but it will be easier to play with more people if you only need one cartridge.

"Lost in Blue" is the name of the Survival Kids game, I think, Speedfreak. Survival Kids is made by Konami. I think the DS is really going to show what developers could have done with the N64 if they had given it a fair chance.

Good! I've wanted to buy the Xenosaga for PS2 for a while. But haven't because I don't want to buy another RPG until I complete FFX. So this is perfect. Thanks for that information, Pit.
