These are pictures from a fifty mile hike we did during the summer of this year. It was lame, but in the end I didn't care because I was home and back with technology! This was an eight-day trip with four to five days of actual hiking.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/stingerishere/wesetout.jpg - We set out on the first part of the fifty miler. It's not exactly hiking, but... Well I'd rather canoe. The hiking is the worst part, especially during the summer. Mosquitoes are not something to look foward to.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/stingerishere/tired.jpg - Me... The next morning. Already dirty and tired of camping.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/stingerishere/yummy.jpg - Dinner. :(

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/stingerishere/lastfire.jpg - AND THEN WE TRAVEL FOWARD IN TIME A WEEK AND WE ARE AT THE CLOSING CAMPFIRE. Good night.
You look exactly like I thought you would.
camping is fun!
**** I miss the boy scouts
You look way different to how you did from that one picture I saw of you like a year and a half ago.
A fifty mile walk and no cats, ****. :(
I like the ending.
Camping is so sweet, and this looks like a real nice place to go, where is that nice wooded setting?
HARDCORE. Seriously, one of my friends is in the boy scouts and he gets to play with guns all the time and be "outdoors." So you know... if both you and him partake in the "outdoors" it must be, at least, somewhat interesting.
I'm a Boy Scout, but I haven't been on a really cool trip like that in a while. Now I wanna go canoeing....
MAN SCOUT.
Looks like you had a lot of fun! :)
Are you eating ketchup?

Probably because I had a myspace for a day and you saw my picture. Unless you were referring to that.

I guess you start to miss it after a few years out of it.

You mean the ID card picture I posted at PGAlliance? I didn't think I look too much different. Eight days without cats was rather depressing.

That was an area called Twin Meadows, some hick wilderness in the middle of nowhere about five miles off of a more... well-known lake.
It's tough to say... It might be Burgson. All of this is in the Sierra Navadas somewhere.

Guns are definitly a plus to scouting... Shotgun merit badge is kinda' fun. You get to play with guns waaaay more in Venture Scouts, but it's a little too outdoorsy. Another plus is patrol wars... Where sometimes we'd go out at night and kick over another patrol's shelter and get yelled at the next morning for it lol

I was in a troop that never went on outings, so I switched to an older one that actually knew what they were doing. You should look for another that you know of and transfer if you want to go on more trips.
Actually, if you want to move down here and join this troop...
We have four trips total that we use canoes, one of them, being the fifty-miler.
MAN SCOUT.
Would you like to see my guns?
Looks like you had a lot of fun! :)
I didn't look that miserable, did I? >:(
Are you eating ketchup?
Actually, it's supposed to be soup. The noodles are burnt to the bottom and side because we didn't stir it.

See, my friend continuously tells me stories just like that. In fact he even tried to get me to join. Btw, he's part of a venture troup (?), no idea if I used the correct terminology for that... But yeah, maybe I'll join when I stop being such a lazy sob.

I figured it was Venture scouting. Venture crews tend to be more laid-back, as a lot of the outings they go on are optional (you're not forced to like in boy scouts :(), so you don't get tired of being outside. Venture scouts is ages 15-21, but most of them tend to be older, so nobody will get on your nerves like the 11-12 year old boy scouts. I'd probably be doing venture if I wasn't so close to getting eagle. I'll take a break, then think about joining.
But yeah, if you have a friend that's in it, it'd probably be fun.
The one found memory I have of Boy Scouts is getting throw Indian tomahawks. It was so awesome.

My friend had the chance to go eagle but he's already 18 and he was still Star. Poor Steve Ranville.:(
