No, Doom 3 was easily an insult to me, it wasn't scary or fun, it was a waste of money.
However, this expansion pack will probably be John Carmack's last hurrah, and for that I will purchase the game.
I totally agree. Doom 3 was fun at first. But then I just found myself walking down a walkway that looked exactly like another walkway with the same exact monster coming out th exact way all the other mosters do (out of a pipe, or through a stair case). I'll probably play my friends when he gets it (Doom 3 freak!) and see if I like it before jumping to any conclusions like I did with Doom 3.
Doom III was good, so i might pick this up.

People don't diss Doom 3 because they have legitimate complaints against it these days- they just diss it to be cool, while pretending they have a good reason. It's exactly like listening to Dream Theater. (Oh no, now I'm going to get derepped by TWO packs of idiots!)
Well, that aside, you can probably guess that I'm anticipating the expansion to Doom 3. It'll at the very least be an enjoyable experience.
