I am going to get a new laptop in two weeks (Thankgiving week), and I was curious if anyone here has any recommendation? Something that is at least decent, and, most importantly *oscar* cheap.
Sony, but they aren't exactly cheap.
Just don't get Compaq, HP or those types of brands.
Dell, I believe, has some current or upcoming deals. You might want to check their site. From what I've seen and experienced, you get a pretty good laptop for the price you're paying.
Compaq's cheap laptops (like mine) are a pile of crap, and their expensive ones are really ****ing good. Dell has some good deals, but they're put together badly and they're ugly. I'm not one to be picky though. Acer laptops are also cheap, a load of people here have them.
Not HP. I would personally go Dell, IBM, or Sony.
