My download speeds tend to be a little weird, and I've been wondering if anything's wrong with my connection. I'm pretty sure I'm running on DSL Lite, because we're using the cheapest DSL that our ISP offers. My normal download speed is around 25kb/sec, but some downloads start out much faster than that. Just a few minutes ago I started downloading the newest episode of Red VS Blue, and it started around 54kb/sec, then started dropping and stopped at 25kb/sec. Is this normal?
Yes.
I get the same thing sometimes too. One time it was huge like 100KB/s, but withered to 15 quickly. I think they called it "Burstable Bandwith" or something. It helps you get smaller files quickly for example.
