It becomes unnecessarily confusing when converting feet/hands to centimetres. Since, it's meant to be converted to inches.
For example, a foot, 12 inches, or 30.5 cm.
Or, a hand, 4 inches, or 10.2 cm?

Actually, forget about feet/hands altogether. We don't care about them. (although I do care about my own 17cm hands and nearly 25cm feet).
