The most experience I've had with a Virtual Boy was years ago at Wal-Mart. I played what ever Wario game was on it for about 30 seconds in passing. Now, I've never been able to sit down and play the VB, so I was wondering if there were actually any fun games on it? I'd like to get one for collecting purposes eventually, and would like to know what games to target first.
Start off buying the cheaper ones. I'd say most of the games are fun, not that there are a lot of titles to select from.
Wario Land is by far one of the best in terms of game quality and fun-ness.
Panic Bomber is a great game and addictive as all hell,
Virtual League Baseball isn't that great,
Mario's Tennis will only hold you for a little while
Vertical Force and Red Alarm are actually pretty tops,
TeleroBoxer just gets insnaely hard in some parts and might put you off,
V-Tetris, well...its tetris :p
I was really into Nester's Funky Bowling...
No one mentioned Mario Clash. That was one of the most fun titles release on the virtualboy. Jack Bros was also great.

Listen, I have a complete U.S collection, and some Japanese games. I love all of them... but the five games that stand out the most to me are:
VRZone's top 5 VB games:
Jack Bros.
(This game has the most depth and it has great gameplay)
Nesters Funky Bowling
(This game has great graphics and the gameplay is great)
Wario Land
(This game has good quality gameplay, its GREAT! But its too short)
Galactic Pinball
(There is tons of action in this game...its fun...I always find myself trying to beat my previous score)
And in 5th place its a 3 way tie with 3-D tetris, Mario Clash and Panic Bomberman
(3-D Tetris and Panic Bomber are so addictive. Mario Clash is a good game but lacks the "save" option)
The games listed above are the BEST VIRTUAL BOY games is my opinion.
