Ok, so comments? criticism? Mostly comments though!

BTW Hyper can you help me out on this one?

Posted by Klarth

Hyper is not an artist.

I say you should make his curly proboscis longer, and make him look anatomically correct next time. He seems to not have any opposable thumbs, his feet are screwed on sideways, he has no elbows and he looks pregnant.
OH, AND DRAW SOMETHING THAT ISN'T BAD FOR ONCE, CHRIST ON A CROSS.
Klarth: I'm a digital artist.

I'm no good with a pencil though, so no, I can't help you.

Maple Story characters are even more chibi than that. Try making a smaller body next time.

Shading. Learn to shade. It's a godsend.

This is what I mean:

See how it makes the picture stand out more, look more realistic?

And it looks like you have no clue on how to scetch. like you're unsure where your pencil should go next. Just left it flow.

Overall though, no offense, but your drawing is horrible. It looks like something a seven year old drew. Either really practice at it, or give up.

use a charcoal pencil!

Or an ink pen. Charcoal smudges easily.

Quoted post: use a charcoal pencil!

Truth. The effect is unrivalled (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/VampiroV.Empire/Other/Art/Manson.jpg). But I wouldn't suggest using charcoal when you can barely draw with a pencil.

If used on the wrong paper, yah!!!

You want charcoal to smudge...

The actual copy (since scanner sucks), looks better.

Anyways, some tips, before you continue drawing.

Start with circle for heads, stick figures for bodies, and try to come up with many poses. Don't go straight into your final copy.

Afterwards, the circle you used as the head, draw two lines. One from top to bottom, and one from left to right, indicating where you're going to place the eyes, mouth, and nose. From here start shaping the head, adding eyes, expression, etc.

In your first copy, you never want to darken it. Make as light, so if any errors are made, erasing shouldn't be a problem.

Here, I darkened it, so you can see Jordo
