Yo, just thought I'd let you guys know about a new PvP-based MMORPG that has a good chance of hitting it big in the U.S./EU in Q1 2006. The game is called RF Online ("Rising Force") which blends traditional fantasy concepts with a sci-fi setting. The game was created by CCR, a South Korean-based company. The game takes place on Novus, a planet rich with valuable ore. Originally, Novus was only inhabited by the Cora, a elflike race who are skilled with the ways of magic. However, two races invaded
Novus for its resources: the Accretia, a cyborg-like race that has many melee capabilities, and the the Bellato, a human race that harnesses both magical and technological powers.
This game has been released in Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan, and soon there will be betas for a Philippines version, and a NA/UK version. Codemasters signed up
to release the NA/UK vers., and it looks like they made a good decision.
