MP3 Transfer?

Posted by Alastor

Is it possible to transfer MP3s to an Xbox without modding (XBMC) or the Xbox Music Mixer? I want to get some of my music on my PC to my Xbox, but it seems that Xbox hates CD-Rs, and there's no chance of me going and buying a ton of CDs just to do this. Not like I have the money, plus that's a pretty stupid thing to do even if I did.

My box reads CD-Rs. Maybe it'-Oh, yeah, you aren't cool enough get the drive that can actually read CD-Rs. How owned do you feel? There's no way to transfer MP3s from your box to your PC, and vice versa, that I'm aware of. Sorry.

I can make cd+rs work in my XBOX, but not cd-rs. I have NO IDEA why that is, though.

It seems most Xbox's cannot read CD-r media. The best thing to use is CD-rw (or more specifically "TDK brand" CD-rw). It's also important to only use blank media and not ones that have been recorded on before.

Not sure about mp3s. I thought it was only possible to "rip" audio from CDA format discs. Could be wrong though. Never really accomplished it.

EDIT: There's a program called xIso that can apparently make any media readable by the XBox. I think it only works for "data" though, but that should handle mp3.
