Over on Zelda Power, the people who frequent the Ocarina of Time forum are quite set apart from those in General Chat, so we call ourselves the OoT Community. We use lots of smilies and emoticons, so I often get the chance to show off some sprites until the time came when they actually asked where I come up with all my little icons. My comics and stuff were revealed to them, so they implored I create an OoT Community comic strip. I thought it would be a drag, but I'm having lots of fun with it.
For the cast, I just asked them to select a sprite from the Fire Emblem GBA Games... that way, they wouldn't have to sprite anything for themselves, I wouldn't have to sprite six different sheets, and all the sprites would look fine together since they're all from the same game. The only person whose sprite I did make up was for the user "Kero"... since he couldn't be anyone but Kero from Card Captors.
Anyway, this may not have a lot of relevence to you guys, it's just a pathetic attempt to say "Hey, I'm still spriting, I dont' suck yet!!"

Hopefully, this'll help you get the color code down as well as help you learn everyone's name. The hat joke with Groucho was due to the fact that in the second strip there, he didn't recognize his character because he remembered picking one with a hat. Anyway, we're all pretty goofy in the OoT Community, so the best conflict I could think of is that someone's stealing our goofy things.

GD World is short for ***dess Din World... it's supposed to be a crazy place full of hot J-Rock singers and naked pandas and all other kinds of chaotic inside jokes... but I don't have backgrounds for that, so I did this instead. The other inside joke is that you enter GD World by sticking the fork in the toaster.

Kero has a rep for being a loveable pest to GD, calling her "Strongman" and "Magically Delicious", both of which are just more inside jokes.

I'm not personally too fond of FE sprites, but all the sprite work is really well done. The Kero sprite is nice, and I absolutely love the backgrounds. Good work. I look forward to more. :)

It's wonderful that you make it so entertaining even to those of us who don't know all the injokes and the reasons behind them (though the explainations help ^^). I especially liked the last panel of #4 and #6. ^^

You might want to read the previous one before looking at this. Sikaru has a rep for being a bit slow-witted and air-headed, but that's why we love her. The first panel is a visual joke of how I supposedly give her piggy-back rides, and of course, I believe her no matter how slow she is all the time.

GD is really big on J-Rockers, which are said to populate GD World, and I really had to use my imagination to find a polar opposite to J-Rockers. I'll clarify now that this is not at all an insult to Michael Jackson or anything... it's just supposed to be a good laugh.

In the OoT Family Tree which GD made once, she paired herself and Groucho as husband and wife... which was a pretty good call, because they can nag one another like they're married pretty well.

Grade A, Linko. That last batch had me giggling pretty hard, more so than the first few. Especially the final panel. Surprisingly, you make it accessible for those who have no ties to the jokes whatsoever. Good stuff ^^
Exposition is never as funny... and yet it is a necessary evil.
Between the general approval of these and my current sig comic, I'm glad to hear I can still make good comics.
