well when i boot in2 FC4, i boot in2 command line, but when i try to start the x it doesnt work theres some weird error that comes up, but i cant figure out the how do get the error copied and show what it is, so any suggestions would be appreciated

How is FC4 anyway? I haven't used FC in a long time. I tried out FC1 in early 2004 and I liked it but there were MANY bugs that needed to be worked out, and I got sick of it. If you've tried other distros, how do you think FC4 compares?
I would check out Ubuntu before FC4. Has a pretty strong support base and it's a solid distro. Haven't heard anything about FC4 but it looks pretty cool.
Yeah, I've heard from several people that Ubuntu is the way to go. Do you know if Ubunutu is available to run off a CD? I wish more distros were available to run off a CD like Gnoppix. That way, you don't have to deal with installing it and you can try it out for awhile to see if it's any good.
Yup they have a Live CD.
