A couple days ago, i went to ebgames to sell phantasy star online for the gamecube to get more credits to put on top of the reservation of my xbox 360. Eb said they'll give me 5 bux for the game, so i sed to hell with it. but wat i didnt know, is that it was a rare game. A couple of kids were standing next to me. one came up to me and said, "is that phantasy star online for the gamecube? dont trade that in, thats a hella rare game." Well i took his word for it and asumed that the game was rare, so i didnt trade it in. Now i want to ask the ppl of vgchat. Is phantasy star online for the gamecube rare? Also, so i dont make mistakes like this in the future, are there any other rare gamecube games?
Well sorta.. It's not as easy to find but it's not Rare. I have come across it a few times. Besides Phantasy Star Online is also on the Dreamcast and the Xbox making it less rare. You shouldn't over worry if you can't find it in a store, theres always Ebay :)_
Eternal Darkness is pretty rare, not seen it in any stores for awhile, glad I picked it up when I did.
i could never find the prince of persia game for the cube. i'd say mthat was rear from personal experyence.
Eternal Darkness and Hunter the Reckoning are two rare title for the cube. They dont cost that much but they are hard to find. Hunter the reckoning is not rare on the xbox thuogh.
The Pure Evil Resident Evil Double-Pack is pretty rare. But you could just buy Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 seperately, albeit cheaper too. Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong.
Edit: Another rare one, Tower of Druaga. It supposedly was exclusive to the PS2, but some guy who owns 35,000 some games has the GC version. There could be another 400 out there...

Used game stores won't offer top dollar for used games, regardless the rarity. The whole supply and demand and specialised service dealy. If it's top dollar you want, auction or independent sale is your best choise. For example: If I go to EB games to trade in my game library, I would get about (total) $900. $2000 from Microplay. Approximate auction & personal re-sale value of my collection, $15,000. Sentimental value: Priceless. :D
TO EXPLAIN THE LOW VALUE OF GCN PSO EP 1&2:
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 (original), is semi rare in terms of acctual collecters value but due to the release of Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 special edition the ammount of the original version in terms of re-sale value has plummited for the present time (as many special edition releases do at first). But this special edition version will cause an increase in the re-sale value of the original in the distant future (it'll go up a few years after the GCN is retired).
OTHER RARITY INFO:
Super Smash Bros Melee was rare until Nintendo issued a mamoth ammount of new copies.
Crazy Taxi and Gauntlet Dark Legacy are two of the rarest GCN games out there.
Resident Evil, Metroid Prime, Soul Calibur II, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle are some other are ones, but I gotta go, so I'll elabourate more later.

You know what are the real rare games for the GameCube? Capcom Vs. Snk 2: EO, Ikaruga, Midway Arcade Treasures, Rally Championship, Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 etc.

Yeah for awhile I felt lucky that the Super Smash Bros Melee was rare to find. I picked it up early on. Then they released the new version. Man I was crushed. I too haven't seen Eternal Darkness for awhile, maybe I should check out the local gamestop too

How about Skies of Arcadia Legends? The only place I've seen was at the Game Crazy in the town I live in, and I got it in the first week it came out. I have yet to see it anywhere else.

Just cause a game says players choice doesn't mean it's now lost it's value. I mean, finding an original copy of luigis mansion non players choice is rare.

I'd say Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes is a rare game. I've had trouble finding it.

I think Star Fox Adventures was the only Game Cube title made by Rare, but it isn't at all rare.

It's going for an average of $20 each. Which makes sense, as no sane person would pay much money for that game anyways...

Just a toss in...but until a few months ago, I had no idea about the collection of old school games titled: INTELVISION LIVES. Probably not a rare find, but I am curious all the same if it is.
Resident Evil 2 is pretty rare. I bought it a couple days a go after searching for almost two months. It still costs $40 dollars at the game stop. Don't but it unless you just like the classics or you'l probably hate the graphics.
