my craptastic cpu isn't the best for playing vids....and to be literal...it plays a couple frames a second....then freezes for like 4...then plays a couple more frames in sync.
But strangely enough....DarkBulb's vids were....distinguishable for me(i still haven't figured out why some vids are semi-fluent and others are chaotic)
anywho.... i only managed to watch 3. his doc vs. G&W, Sheik.....and his Falco.
Doc showed some exellent WDing...u really surprised me because i thought i was the only guy to do it that much. I mean...its already to the point of unneccesity...but hell, i love it toO! It worked really well with your feinting.
I notice for ur recovery u tornado, DJ, then cape(i think).....if that cuts the cake for u, cool.....but i think cape before tornado allows you to take full advantage of the tornado's horizontal influence since the cape(first) stops your drifting.
but u made it back, anyway...so its cool. (i'm not one to speak....i never do my own method unless its a very serious battle...cuz its a lot of work for me to turbo press...since i'm left handed and i require, instead....shaking the controller w/ me left hand, while keeping my right finger still)
anywho...one thing i noticed were you didn't have the best moments w/ ur pills. I didn't see any pillrushes into shuffle. I understand that at close quarters with an oponnet in your face, you really alot to risk w/ a SH docpunch...but perhaps you could try incorporating a shuffled sex...those prove really,really useful to me anyway. you can alot of times turn it into a Jab/grab(since it doesn't push u apart if they shield)or if u drift behind...even better. I don't abuse the cape much in my fights personally....maybe 1-2x a fight, really. Its not that u Have to use it to make if effective...its just the concept that it limits ur oponent(projectile wise) even if u never use it. I just find a Jab to grab/d.Smash more worthwhile than caping a mistake.
u could also experiment w/ backwards WD to SH pill...i don't like when oponents try to feint ME out...so this protects me well, when i'm uncertain of their offense.
but the one vid i saw of ur falco was very impressive. Its obvious u know how to SHL quite well- you do retreating- reverse SHL alot in the fight, which really is a great thing. And u have the timing well down enough to SHspike reflector after it immediately...(something i'm still not confident in. I only use F.Tilt/Smash, Jab2grab as a follow follow) I also noticed you hung on the edge...and attempted a rising spike to a recovering foe. I do that 90% as my edgeguard w/ him, since i figure i'll be temp. invincible and guard it bottom to top(especially good against samus)
Sadly i couldn't watch any fluent 2 seconds of this vid, w/out if momentarily freezing on my gay computer...but from what i saw, ur falco is 1337. I'd compare it to mine...but between different styles(yours relying on a little higher technical demandence and of course...my cpu..it'd be hard for me to give any advice.
But ur falco is exellent, i'm not so sure i could even help it.
I haven't really gotten around to watching them. Partly because my new security system won't let me check anything. I can't check messages or view my PM's or e-mail. I'm practicing on the pill wavedash thing which I still haven't completely mastered. I was doing it yesterday, it works wonders for fake outs. Glad you enjoyed them. Mystic... it seems your dad took all access out. Did he catch you DLing porn o_O. Anyway, I know I sen't a few PM's the things to get the videos. Hope more reply. More videos after the next NY tournament this Sunday.

Whoa, that sucks a load for you -_- Good luck with that though, or go to a friends house or school or something and check them out one day. They won't go anywhere.
Also, Vampiro, I suck with Mewtwo, but I'm going to attempt and play with him and have a video or 2 of me either winning or losing... but it won't be against Dire Vulcan... he would just send it to hell :(. I'll also attempt a Link video as well. I'll get dire to play with his DK against my Bowser this monday as well. I'll be up and coming when I start sending PM's again saying vids are updated. Hahaha... those were great, man. I loved how frantic they were, and I especially loved how you managed to kill Sheik as Bowser, even when the "crowd" was rooting for Sheik. That was some fine fighting there, I'll tell ya that. Lately I've actually been able to practice against a worthy opponent on a fairly regular basis (or at least we're hoping we can see each other every week or so), so I'll only be honing my skills. We've had some pretty da[b][/b]mn intense battles, too... I'll also start reading more posts over at the SmashBoards, too.
And yeah, if you could get a couple Mewtwo videos up, that'd be awesome... try to win for us, 'kay? :P Once again, nice videos... I enjoyed them.
I've had a few good fights in last week actually. It was me vs. one of my friends. We were both Sheik because he claimed he had gotten better with Sheik, so I though I would test mine against his. Now, I don't use Sheik a lot, but when I do I'm not too bad. It was a stock 5 match at Corneria. We both ended up with one stock left getting ourselves near the same amount of damage every time. It turns out he beat me my jumping off the edge and kicking me into the side. Now that I have played him, I can say that he has indeed gotten a lot better and I can see which moves he uses most. I may go back over tomorrow for a rematch.

Darkblade, you're a smashboarder. When you see my videos, tell me what NOT to do and then tell what to do. My friend is kind enough to use his equipment and do this sort of ..... Bump, I just got back from the tourny and I did ....ing awesome. Dire Vulcan was crowned uber Game&Watch as well. New vids real soon under a new account name soon. Old account name will just have some regular videos of the usual. No sound as usual, his comp doesn't record with sound... which sucks because during the matches, the commentary during the matches were funny. .... :(.
I saw your vids awhile back, good stuff.
I learned actually from them. I've become a lot better with Mario too! Like, I always use fireballs to .... people up when they are trying to get back (although it can help them because they can do another up+B if they used it already) and I also use the cape on them when they try to get back on the ledge. Works quite well. Although cheap...works good.
Question though, when you do a down+b, how the hell do you go up? I always just keep falling down...at a faster pace actually. So it kinda sucks...
OH, Down B, and tap B like an animal during the move. It hovers you upward. If you read up on Cyphus's doc guide, it has tips there that work with mario as well. It is a real good read to learn some tactics.

Me(meleematerx)-Ganon vs. Lee-Samus. Only reason its cool is because the music is some techno my brother wrote, and my friend Brett directed it putting it together and adding credits.
I mean...yeah..i can't count the number of times i jump into Samus's Sex kick..again..and again...its throughout the whole match. I had lost my cool and became quite stubborn trying to get through it...but didn't exactly work.

11 new videos. I didn't use Doctor Mario in the tourny. I didn't get the right times to use him, but marios chances were high. I used him instead for a lot of matches. Also, Just cause it says pikachu is the player doesn't mean the guy sucked. The Hex videos, his pikachu was ....ing scary. Same as anything else you see there. Also you were sayin the mario in your crew got CaptJack's sheik down to 1 stock. Is he that awesome? I saw him play DK/Ganon/Doc they were all pretty leet but all of the sheik vids didnt work for me. You dont know where I can find some do ye?

I'll give you some vids later Bear if you haven't seen them already. As for free for all, I never do those. Those are no skill battles rather than a one on one, I say no skill cause... people run away and take no damage and come back into the fight with the c stick. I WISH dire was crew, but hes not, just a real good smashboarder friend. He's part of DA now, I'm not :-p.

So wow. Love the matches with your fox and the various falco fights. Love the SHL, any hints, I try to do it jumping back and fought but I usually end up illusioning, also do you end each hop with a WD or just jump immediately? Also i've read that you can use deflectors to counter shield grabbers (which is what I think you did a couple of times) but I can't seem to manage it myself, any hints there?. Any tips for learning how to WD (I started playing with luigi a lil bit just to try to see if I can integrate it at all into my style but I usually only do it once or twice in a row at best). I like the used of the down dodges, I need to try to integrate that more as well. The chain-throw combos with doc were nice. It seems I really need to work on L-canceling but I promised myself I would not play anymore for a while for academic reasons. So for the time being looks like just reading more walkthroughs and hopefully some more nice vids.
Like your style of play. In the first falco vs ganon fight were you dash dancing or wave dancing, or both, or is wave dancing just something I made up. If it is a genuine term, which ones better in your opinion? Also, would you recommend jumping with the x/y or should I try to change over to the control stick? Anyway, sweet vids, sorta poor quality on the camcorder ones though, looking forward to the Mew2 vids.
To jump, the best advice I can give is to use the button closest to the Z button, not the one on the right of the A button. It's sad, I don't even know the buttons lmao.
Don't worry if you Falco Phatasm right off the stage, there was a time where for 3 months, suicides with falco and fox were horribly too many. I eventually calmed down and got the timing right. If you can move while you shoot the laser, then you will DEFINITELY get the timing right so you don't suicide as often.
The Techniques I use with the laser are usually just the normal land, it's impossible to land and wavedash with the laser though, unlike mario/doc where you can pill/fireball and land into a wavedash. I know you can see also, with the SHL, I usually end up right next to them ready with something. Down air, neutral air, grabs work best with this, and if they have low damages, its good to shine. When you said cancelling their grab with a shine dude, I seriously NEVER thought of that. So thats a good heads up there. I know I've done it, but I do it cause I'm hoping they grab and get hit, but in some situations I should do it more often now that you did mention it like that.
Don't worry with the wavedash in consecutive times like mad. Luigi is the easiest to do it only because hes still in motion, while others are extremely hard to do like ganondorf, bowser, link, fox, and falco. I understand how wavedashing is in the beggining. You do it once and you slide, and again, and then you accidently jump and dodge midair. I do it in the vids, I mean I've closed to perfected it, but hey, mistakes are good, all I did to get that good at wavedashing was to actually use it in battle. With wavedashing, I first learned how to use it good when I wavedashed away from an opponent. Thats all I ever did with wavedashing. But if you can do backwards even once perfectly and keep your kool in the match, then you can do it again in a match. I've even attempted to wavedash to do an edgeguard on the stage, and I dodge off the stage. I do it at tournaments, but hey, even I'm still learning. But no matter what anyone says, wavedashing IS useful. You will never see anyone in the finals not wavedashing.
Dash dancing is a good mind game, one where people tap left and right like mad. Wave dancing is a delayed dash dance, more like the slow predator look. Then what I do with mario is something else. Also, because of academic reasons, I ONLY play smash. I can't play other games, I know that smash doesn't take too much of my time rather than me playing a new game. Also, I'll PM you the new address, I keep some weird stuff in that one now.

I WD alot with gndf and marth but its hard doing it back and forth to much. With cold hands its absolutly impossible and I always have cold hands... I can run and do em back easy enough and such with many characters. I just cant grasp fox at all... and falco abit. Not that I use those characters really but I know Id be much better with it.. I need some type of heat warming gloves cause in the winter my hands are colder than room temp... "stupid lupus..."
With link its decent but the most use I find it for is marth and the easiest use is gndf. But I dont WD as much as you in facing pros. I just do it to amaz the noobs... With link its just setting up a barrier of projectails and SH with kicks and F air more or less. Id like to insert theWD as much to my thought and its easy enough but it takes somewhat time away from my projectail play and I get alot of rep from my bomb setups... however if I went to doc agian Id love to play like yours^^
Awesome Mewtwo videos, man. Even though I'm half-asleep, I really enjoyed watching those... I love some of the great tricks you pulled off, and how frantic everything was. Then again, at your level I'm sure every battle is always pretty fast-paced (except in slow-mo melee). I watched the videos pretty closely, and I saw that you perform a lot of the combos I use with Mewtwo... except that I can't pull them off quite as fast (although I'm working on it! :mad: ), and I suck at wavedashing. :( I'll work on polishing my Mewtwo some more in the near future, though... once again, nice videos, and thanks a million for posting them. I'll rep you when I get the chance, since I think you deserve it.
Nice vids. I like the fox shine WD into Up smash combo. Does psion know that you can stop raising up and levitate at any time during the first jump with peach by pressing down (for example if you are holding down when you jump you will immediately start floating on the surface of the ground)? I've taken a very recent interest in peach and I like this maneuver a lot cause she has some pretty nice arials imo. But shrug, what do I know. I just use what I see in vids (that technique I saw in several of the videos on captainjack's site :P). Nice mew2 as well, looks like I just has to master landing the front arial and learn the range of the tail moves.

Also, that tail has some HuGe flippin range. Mewtwo lucks out because all his attacks can be performed asap with the jump cancel, unlike yoshi or peach. Well, most of his attacks. Hes fun, but theres no way I cna use him in a tourny, I'm not that levelof play with that type of character yet.

I'm Psion in all those videos, and I'm the one responsible for all of dark bulb's videos. I'm just bumping this to say, there will be a tournament tomorrow, and I will be bringing the camcorder to record this. The first gauntlet I only brought one tape by accident, and the second one, I came from school and didn't have the time to get the camcorder. I have finished recording and transferring the Super Smash Brothers tournament videos into MPEG format. I have recorded over an hour and because of the fact that I have slow Internet connection speed (56k), I will not be able to upload the videos today. Dark Bulb will be up loading them like he has done so in the past and should be ready in a day or so. I hope everyone enjoys the videos and I will post more recordings of smash videos as time passes. First I'd like to say... it was a horrible day for me :(
My hands weren't in a micro mood. My falco played lumpy, and some matches I could have done better in, but my falco would just be at a stand and not move. I wasn't reacting in time. But as the day progressed, it slowly started to move, and I'm glad that by the time I reached suicide fox, it was an almost normal falco. Even then I was messing up.
My exhibitions - I played horrible. I was shocked I lost to so many crappy players. I mean I know I'm not great, but when you know THEY aren't, something just doesn't seem right. I lost some real easy rounds, and against link's who just used the Up b move. I just kept running into the move. Eventually I got one good exhibition against a guys sheik who the day before got 3rd place in a new jersey tourny. But after him, I played like crap again. Rafa ate me in all our exhibitions, and not because I screwed up, but I notice that I need ganondorf practice. I can't play agaist ganondorfs really great. The videos will show that. I got lucky to play PC chris, but I was to nervous and completely flopped. Then again... he IS Pc Chris. I didn't expect to win, but I didn't expect to lose without knocking at least one stock off. At least against mofo I took one off.

The tournament -
Match one was against daves bro... daves the master falco in the US next to prodigy and robfalco. I can't fight Marios with mario, it doesn't feel right, so i gave a go at falco. I had a hard time wavedashing and SHL'ing. Hell, he even took me down when i didn't tech on the floor and just layed there. My fingers wouldn't move. Eventually in the round i started to move again. He won first and second round, and his brother of course cheering for him like he should. Real close matches.
Match two was against some 13 year old or something. I thought I was going to pwn him hard, but man was I playing like ****. He took me down to one stock first round. Second round I won, with 2... but holy crap. He played luigi and I was still falco.
Match three was against Suicide Fox and I felt like just giving up right there. First round he takes it. Second round I take it, he dies in a suicide/kill way. Third round I take it. He farted in between the rounds though and called it "mind games". Dave was rooting for him, and I just wanted to hit him for making me even more nervous. Suicide Fox played fox, and I played my falco. Suicide was pretty kool, he was rawking.
Match four was agains a guy who in the exhibitions was just beating me easily, I got in my game at suicide foxes last match. I was parptially clunky, so I won with one stock in the first round, and forgot how many the second. BigG used samus, I used falco. I didn't want to make ANY transitions to mario at all this tournament at that point. Falco to mario to falco, not good for me at all. I won
Match five was against Havoc from the turks. A guy in Mofos and PC's Crew. He countered picked of course... like all of the turks. He picked luigi, an excellent counter to falco. First round, I experienced a REAL luigi. He was wild and mean, and he KNEW what he was doing. He won the first round. Second round I started to see his pattern a bit. I won the second round by taking advantage of luigi's weight and being able to combo him. Third round... was just insane. First life he comboes me, he then uses his forward B by accident and out of all the numbers from one to 8, he got the misfire and killed me. I felt sick for a second. The match ends up at me being one life and him three. I do my best NOT to die. I eventually get him down to one stock, and wow. Craziest **** happens. He gets out of the lift, and attacks me, I fly outside. He wavedashes toward the stage, and I used my falco fantasm to return. The games physics... sort of pulled him instead of the ground... it just spiked him in the pit. I won the round and he was so angry but accepted the fact that he lost. Havoc was pretty kool and I know that that was a bull**** win, but its a tournament :-/.
Match six... I did NOT think I was going to make it this far. I faced Unkownforce, he used ganondorf. First round... his ganon wasn't like Rafa... way different. Ate me like cat food. Second round... I just... like gave up. I was hungry, tired, wanted to go home. I was happy I made it as far as I did.
In the end, Unknown placed 7th, I placed 9th, havoc placed 13th, and wes... still won the tournament. Videos will be in a new account soon. PM's will be sent out shortly. No one needed the recaps on my matches though, but Meh :mad:

That was that day. Suicide Fox was having one of those days also. A LOT of people had a bad day that day, Mofo got 25th place and I got 9th, and I KNOW that mofo can take me down just as easy as PC chris took me out for fun.
Clunky, my hands... just felt like they didn't want to move. Unlike in the last tourny where I was ready to fight and all, this tournament, my head was full. I was worrying about other things, and I wasn't truly concentrating on the matches. More like... outside interference >.<. But yea, I didn't do that bad regardless :o. Pc Chris pwning me video is hilarious >.>

Gaunlet 4. 2 weeks, no smash. I'm more than glad to give up my spot in top ten in NY, I'm gonna go to this gaunlet and have some fun if anything... I won't be any better while everyone else is. I'll just be at the same skill if not slightly lower.
Anyway, I don't know if Poison will be coming along or not. Even after the last one, he does close to excellent jobs holding the camcorder in place and recording. I was more than pleased with the way the quality of the videos came out last time. If he doesn't, I'll just post up the results, and say no videos, and if he does, then most likely videos! Anyways, just felt like giving away the heads up.
I'd like to see the videos. I really need to increase my own own skill to get ready for smash brothers online. So, it might help out a bit.

Actually, there won't be new ones. I was going to go to the tourny, but it seems that I'm playing WAY too horrible to even try. I kept losing to level 9 computers. My matches were all horrible. Hands shaky, numb, tired, all the sorts, especially stiff fingers. I was hoping to get my practice and be just as good as before. I got worst, and I know everyone got better.
I didn't think that 2 weeks of no smash could actually do this. I'm sitting this one out. If anything, there will be new videos, but it won't be from this tournament, just fun matches on a computer.
And my hands DO NOT hurt from masturbation. Thats it.

Anyway, just looked at them. Not to bad Bulb, though I must day on teh Samus vs. Peach one, the song was slow when you got into the fight which was right away, and then it got real fast laster on. I know you are a little new to the whole music thing, but next time you are going to go at like that right away, try and get something that will fit the video just right. I didn't think the music choice fit the clip, but in the end it did justice and wasa good piece fo work. Just try and experiment with teh right music next time. It was still good though.:cool:

Btw my fox is a combination of styles from videos that I saw from dave/Isai/Amorasaki... who I wish came here more often. My style is a slower style of a daves falco, Isai fox, and amorasakis falcon. Cept I used their concepts to make my falco. It isn't a unique one, but they all helped me out a lot :-x
I liked that little ploy you did. Everytime you knocked someone off the stage you'd run to the edge and hang off of it so the other player didn't have a chance to get back up. Smart stuff.

The less basic thing is timing it so that you turn invincible when you get back in, and they hit nothing and grab nothing. That itself is still basic

Also you should come down to scranton for a halloweekend 2 day thing. Its abunch of PA guy pros. One there actually beat me. Javiar. But theres alot of good players there. Giants695 (somthing like that) msged me when I was on aim(blue moon that night was) and invited me down there. Even 8 months outa practice I did good but I can surly say Javi is the PA champ. Some Marth guy. Also I think UnbreonMow is coming down aswell as the NEW TriadProdigy(beat him once, lets go for 2/2 ^^) Theres a Martz bus that goes from NY city strait to Scranton.

[COLOR=Black]Some Nice things there. You should patent your falco. I havent seen a defencive falco ever work that good. But was your defencive lasering to getting a stun attack all becausde you were fighing peach? You got faster speed to use em aswell as she cant jump and theres the whole shield grabbing and down smashing. I noticed you worked up on not letting in an opening when you got near by using your speed to set up defencive lasers to create combos while avioding being shield grabbed or even downsmashed and whatnot. Besides the occasional SD(which is resanable with space animals) I liked it. It shows really how a back jump laser comes into play^^ My guy doesnt really ever use it so Ill show him a few of these to show how it can be used for good defence. Agian nice vids.
