Not bad but wtf is up with all of the makeup on them :( It's like "Hey, I can't even get drawn to look pretty so I need to put this stuff on!"

They look hand drawn, and colored with software. I need to learn how to color on a computer (or with colored pencils, for that matter) It makes drawings look good.

About the 'makeup' they're not actually wearing makeup XD that's just my whacked out eye drawing style with the rosey cheeks that I got from idolizing Naoko Takeuchi... er.. anyway, yeah (though I can see how you can think it's makeup)

As for the questions about how I color:

They were scanned and then colored in Photoshop 7.. As for the METHOD I use.. I don't think I could begin to explain (I've failed miserably before trying to ..so now i just pretend it's a secret >_>) aside from which brush I use (and that brush would be.... this one:

I don't think I'm good enought to be a PROFESSIONAL... (you'd say so too if you'd see what some other people my age..and YOUNGER can do x_x)

I've been meaning to do an actual manga but I've had some.. problems u_u;
I don't even have the final character designs done yet though u_u; and.. no.. not a real manga, though I've WANTED to enter that "Rising Stars of Manga" competition Tokyopop has.. I've never been able to get off my butt and write a decent script (cause I suck at writing dialogue.. =/ ) so what happens is I'll usually get an idea, mess around with it for a while before finally dubbing it "crap at its finest" and trashing it =/

So I don't think I'll be able to do anything productive until I:
a.) Produce something brilliant that I'm completely satisfied with (which isn't very likely) *or*
b.) Quit worrying about quality so much and just throw something out there (which is kinda hard for me to do u_u)

I do intend to have ART as a career though.. I'm not even sure what I want to do in that department. For now my major's gonna be animation when I start college this fall, but... What I really wanted to major in was Sequential Art (and..that's what comics, story boards, manga, etc falls under) but the only decent college that seems to have that major is SCAD and.. well, first of all I dunno if I could get acceped and then the place is like freakishly expensive... so yeah.. I'm still gonna TRY to get in maybe after my second year at the college I'm going to now, though..

Wow.. I'm rambling..

anyway, my idea to get some recogntion at the moment is to make a Pokemon doujinshi (which is just a fancy word for 'non-professional manga' if you don't know..) cause I figure if I can get some popular site like pojo or serebii to post it every month that would just pwn...then I could have a fan base and when I'd do an original manga people might actually read (or buy) it... and yeaaaaaah. I'm gonna stop rambling now

They are beyond good for using mspaint.

What works of art you have created. I wish I had the skill that you have. I simply go nuts for anyone that knows how to shade in Photoshop.
