Ive seen some bad users in my time in the forums, abusive, harassive, like that, and mods do nothing about it. Now, the mods are into it. So, why cant the modsdo their job, and tend to the posts? Does anyone else notice this?

vgc, over the years has gotten mods who are anti-fun, just get used to it. The mods are all close friends with the members (most of whom don't remember when they were n00bs, and most who claim to never have been n00bs.) and a group of about 20 of us have grown to be the core of the site.

So, in conclusion, you won't be liked unless you like: Dream Theater, which everyone(Well, not everyone, but the majority of you.) started liking because Raptor liked them.

Pretty much any mod that takes their job very seriously ruins the board. The ones that delete little flame wars, lock threads that get slightly off topic, and stuff are the ones you're wishing for, and those suck testicles.
yeah we wished for them on vb2, now it's hell with them here.

Anyway, yeah some mods are being more flexible. One thread , on the test board, an smod locked it because crazy k got called fat a few times.

In all seriousness, VB2 was much much better. The mods were more fun, and it was just a more enjoyable place to be, in my opinion.

...and what's the difference between the vB2 mods and the vB3 ones? Philsdad no longer mods computers, MasterAsh disappeared, Sabredog, Xenos, Hyper and I were modded... I've probably left out a few others, but seriously, what's changed that actually matters?
I dislike Dream Theater. James Labrie has the most annoying and nasal voice of any band I've ever heard. After 17 minutes of his voice (combined with the irritating keyboard solos) I reach the conclusion that the whole act is one huge ego-trip; it would certainly explainthe fits of musical self-indulgence.

I actually think there should be WWWboards running alongside vgc just to keep the oldies happy.
I let users post as they will as long as it doesn't blatantly break any rules I feel are necessary. After all, the forum is made by the people who post and being too strict prevents them from posting freely. Of course, mindless flaming and pornography is deleted instantly, but I still leave even one sentence posts because that's how the user wishes to present themself, and as long as it's relevant to the thread I don't see a problem with it. Flaming with thought put into a post and threads that get off topic don't bother me though, it's part of a discussion and if someone wants make a post more on topic, they can. It's as simple as that.
I say we all send Robb these alleged hate PM's so he has evidence. :)
Who are you the admin? I think the mods are doing a fine job. Unlike some pushy mods in some other sites I visit and ruin everything.

If you think the mods are doing such a bad job then why don't you leave some constructive critisicm instead of just making stupid statements about how horrible of a job they are doing. Tell us exactly what they are doing wrong and how we can fix it. Since I registered here at vgchat I have seen many spammers join and spam the crap out of this forum. Now look. There is barely any trash left. If the mods were doing a bad job wouldn't all that spam still be lying around? I strongly disagree with you robb. The truth is the mods are doing an excellent job. If you think otherwise maybe you should apply and do your best to become a mod so that you can fix everything that is wrong by yourself.
