This thread is to be used in which to a. post your teams, b. rate other people's, and c. discuss how they could improve. No posts saying something to the effect of "your team sucks," will be tolerated WITHOUT some comments and constructive criticism to justify saying so.
For example:
OMG, that team sux so hard......id never use that sry but it just plain sux...would be considered a bad post, and would be deleted. However...
Ehh... it kinda sucks; you're not making the most of that Golbat's stats, and the moveset isn't all that great either. Evolve it to Crobat, and give it something to the effect of......would be a good post. To put it simply, be friendly and helpful. Thanks.

It's been a while since I've played my Fire Red game, but I plan on getting back into it pretty soon. Anyway, I fired up the ol' GBA to see what team I was currently using... I know they probably suck compared to other peoples' teams, but... oh well.
Lvl. 63 Dragonite
Lvl. 66 Vaporeon (nickname: Vaporshi)
Lvl. 61 Hypno
Lvl. 64 Raichu (nickname: Shockwave)
Lvl. 62 Charizard (nickname: Blaze)
Lvl. 57 Rhydon (still in the middle of training her up)
So yeah... I plan on getting these guys better than they are now, as well as possibly making some future modifications. I think I should work on getting a reliable grass type in there, and any recommendations anyone has would be appreciated. I am a bit out of the loop as far as the games go, and I would like to hear from more of an expert.
I stopped playing FR after I beat everything. My top levels are all between level 70 and 75, Mewtwo being 75. My top team on FR consists of the following: Mewtwo, Charizard, Raichu, Hypno, Articuno, and Machamp. I much rather prefer my Ruby teamover my FR considering I have a slew of level 100's and a killer 1 on 1 team and dual team.
To get deoxy u need navel pass to get that go to a pokemon exhibition an link with a comp there to get the pass to navel island, there u find deoxy level 30. Do you know how to get jirachi on leaf green?

Thunderpunch

I know a good way to turn this into a big pain. remove snore and rollout and use a first version to teach ether rock slide or earthquake. (both if you want to remove body slam) and return it and give it sleep talk to annoy your enemies
One problem. I don't have the Game Link Cable.
well, if you got a transfer paks, then you can just put the pokemon in one of the boxes and teach them the moves. (but you'll need two for trading them to crystal)
I don't have Crystal either.
Anywho, got Emerald today. And made some progress

For the sake of time I will give you this:
Swampert is capable of learning many powerful attacks that cna be very useful in battle. Try switching his move set up a bi with the following: Muddy Water, Ice Beam, keep E-quake, and add Hydro Pump. This move set has proven to be very useful for me.
For Blazikin, don't teach it focus punch, its going to be really hard to get that move in if it gets hit. Try teaching it another fire move such as Flamethrower or Fire Blast. See what fits best with him.
Here's my Fire Red team:

My UU Netbattle team:
Tentacruel (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Surf
Banette (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Insomnia
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Knock Off
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
Xatu (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 96 Def / 200 Spd / 114 SAtk / 100 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Featherdance
- Psychic
- Thunder Wave
- Wish
Persian (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Limber
EVs: 154 Atk / 104 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- Frustration
- Shadow Ball
- Hypnosis
Nidoking (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Poison Point
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Sludge Bomb
Linoone (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pickup
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Belly Drum
- Extremespeed
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Shadow Ball
Tentacruel (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Surf
My opening Special Sweeper. There's not too much that can handle it. Most people off of the start will switch to a Water type off of the start to absorb the Surf. But then I'll just Giga Drain away. Tentacruel is a great starter. Lum is there to absorb the opening TWave, Sleep, etc.
Jynx (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Oblivious
EVs: 122 Def / 252 Spd / 136 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Ice Beam
- Lovely Kiss
- Psychic
I love the 75% sleep move of Jynx. I'll sleep them, Calm Mind up, and sweep. Leftovers doesn't help Jynx at all because of her terrible HP... She's just plain brittle. I'd rather not be paralyzed because it'd ruin a whole sweep.
Shedinja @ Lum Berry
Trait: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 SAtk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Protect
- Shadow Ball
- Toxic
Swords Dance on this thing is a no-no. When Shadinja absorbs the Earthquake/TBolt/Surf/Ice Beam, he's done his job. I'll Toxic the pokemon that is switching in, then switch the hell out. It works great with my Sneasel. People often send in a Shadow Ball pokemon in to silence Shedinja, when I can easilly switch to Sneasel to absorb and do damage with. Protect is for unpredictable pokemon (pokemon with large movepools).
Linoone (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Pickup
EVs: 252 Atk / 6 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Belly Drum
- Extremespeed
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball
General Extremespeed pokemon. My Sub/Rev Endure/Rev counter, as well as a mean sweeper with some support. If it gets the Belly Drum off, it sweeps UU teams no problem unless they have a a really fast Quick Attacker (Scyther...).
Sneasel (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Shadow Ball
Sneasel rapes almost every pokemon used in UU today. An incredibly underrated pokemon. The basic idea of this set is do get in for one turn, OHKO a pokemon, then switch out to my Shedinja to absorb whatever.
Nidoking (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Poison Point
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Sludge Bomb
Nidokings main role in the team is backing up Tentacruel. Nidoking is surprisingly fast so he can catch many people off guard with Sludge Bomb/Earthquake sweeping.
I'll just post the pokemon, and my basic strategy with them-
Lv. 100 Exploud- Rest+Sleep Talk= Lots of pain
Lv. 100 Kyogre- Basic Raindance and Thunder combo
Lv. 100 Gengar- Possibly the best non legendary pokemon. Super high speed, uses Hypnosis, Dream Eater, and Curse in one big combo
Lv. 100 Mewtwo- Great for adapting to different pokemon
Lv. 100 Rayquaza- 400+ attack
Lv. 100 Medicham- Reversal and Recover help optimize it for any battle situation
I can actually beat the Lv. 100 Colleseum teams with my pokemon. Thats really hard...
Weezing (M) @ Leftovers ** Smogon'D
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 196 HP / 60 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Haze
- Pain Split
- Sludge Bomb
- Will-O-Wisp
Tank.
Rhydon (F) @ Leftovers ** SnoopaSaur
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 129 HP / 252 Atk / 129 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Megahorn
- Rock Blast
- Swords Dance
Sweeper. RB for breaking subs.
Groudon @ Salac Berry ** Don
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Bulk Up
Phys. Sweeper, also used for sunny day.
Dodrio (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Early Bird
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 1 SAtk / 1 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Quick Attack
- Return
With CB, its attacking power=very sexy.
Typhlosion (M) @ Petaya Berry ** Boom
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Dragon]
- Substitute
- Sunny Day
Uses Blaze, Stab, and Sunny Day to power up flamethrower. HP Dragon to cover what's weak to FT. Sunny Day just in case of Tyranitar or Ky00ber
Exeggutor (M) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 6 Def / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psychic
- Sleep Powder
- Solar Beam
Sunny Beamer.

If you want a spiking physical sponge that can blow up on command, go ahead with Forretress. It beats non-HP Fire Magneton with Earthquake. It should look something like this:
Forretress @ Leftovers
-Spikes
-Earthqake
-Explode
-Toxic/Rapid Spin
Toxic is more for in-game. If you predict a switch, you're better off laying down Spikes and switching out rather than trying to toxi-stall. Usually they'll send something in that will absolutely rape it. So Rapid Spin for netbattle.
big wompa i still have the best team on pokemon xd Gale of drakness but i'm not show my team
My LeafGreen team (I've playing for 39 hours):
Mewtwo (Lv. 75)
Lapras (Lv. 66)

On emerald I have:

Seismic Toss
Umbreon lvl. 79

Surf
Zappy (Zapdos) lvl. 60
Thundershock
Fly
Rock Samsh
Drill Peck
(in training) Vibrava lvl 42
Screech
Crunch
Faint Attack
Sand Tomb
All I need now is to send over my lvl. 69 Sneasel from LeafGreen and my dream team is complete! What do you guys think? (Anyone know a good move my Vibrava can learn)
I've played like 138 and a half hours. (Anyone have some tips for my Vibrava?)
For your Vibrava, why don't you teach it Steel Wing? That would take a break from the Dark/Ground moves.
Thx I bet it will work.
I'm not finished trainin' them. But here's my team on LeafGreen that I just started yesturday. I've been playing it for 12 hours because my internet crashed and I had nothing to do xD
Blastoise Level 44
Water Pulse
Water Gun
Bubble
Bite
Item: X Attack
Personal opinion: I'm kinda disappointed, I usually pick Charmander as my starter, right now Blastoise is weaker than expected, I'm finding new TM's for 'em and can't wait for Surf and Hydropump.
--
Pidgeot Level 42
Aerial Ace
Wing Attack
Gust
Fly
Item: X Speed
Personal Opinion: I like this one, strong.
--
Primeape Level 40
Counter
Cross Chop
Seismic Toss
Focus Punch
Item: X Attack
Personal Opinion: One of my strongest.
--
Pikachu Level 39
Thunderbolt
Flash
Slam
Shock Wave
Item: X Accuracy
Personal Opinion: I always caught and trained Pikachu's back when I was 9. It's weak now, but it'll get stronger at level 50.
--
Sandslash Level 39
Slash
Dig
Cut
Rock Tomb
Item: X Defend
Personal opinion: With Primeape, one of my strongest. I love to use him in battles.
Vulpix Level 38
Flamethrower
Return
Grudge
Will-o-Whisp
Item: Dire Hit
Personal Opinion: Though a low level, very strong when using Flamethrower, I have high hopes for this one, it's my first time training a vulpix.

Remove all of those moves, as every one of them is useless in competitive battles. Surf should be your number one water move, if you really want a good physical attack, use crunch instead of bite. Earthquake is also a plus. And what in ***s name are you doing using an X Attack as a hold item?!?
--
Pidgeot Level 42
Aerial Ace
Wing Attack
Gust
Fly
Item: X Speed
Personal Opinion: I like this one, strong.
--
Wing Attack and Gust are both worthless moves, especially in this moveset. Get rid of them, and add some real moves like Steel Wing and Toxic. Pigeot is a rather crappy pokemon in general- it seems strong now, but it's stats will seem a lot less strong in later battles. Also, your hold item is completely useless.
Primeape Level 40
Counter
Cross Chop
Seismic Toss
Focus Punch
Item: X Attack
Personal Opinion: One of my strongest.
Seismic Toss and Focus Punch are automatic useless moves, so remove those. Counter is an absurd choice in this case because most pokemon will not be attacking Primape with physical attacks. Give him Earthquake and Aerial Ace, and you will have a seriously tough pokemon. Also, that's another strange hold item choice...

Pikachu Level 39
Thunderbolt
Flash
Slam
Shock Wave
Item: X Accuracy
Personal Opinion: I always caught and trained Pikachu's back when I was 9. It's weak now, but it'll get stronger at level 50.

For a level 39 Pikachu, this isn't half bad. Obviously, Flash is not the best battle move, but keep Thunderbolt and Slam for now. Later, try giving him brick break and iron tail.
Sandslash Level 39
Slash
Dig
Cut
Rock Tomb
Item: X Defend
Personal opinion: With Primeape, one of my strongest. I love to use him in battles.
Nothing much to say here. Earthquake would be much better than Rock Tomb, but in the end, it's your choice.
Vulpix Level 38
Flamethrower
Return
Grudge
Will-o-Whisp
Item: Dire Hit
Personal Opinion: Though a low level, very strong when using Flamethrower, I have high hopes for this one, it's my first time training a vulpix.
Hmm, this is a very interesting move selection, and could prove to be quite powerful when you evolve it into a Ninetales. Are you sure you want Grudge, though? Confuse Ray would be a lot less risky... I mean, you should never plan on your pokemon fainting.
Aren't I cruel? Honestly, though, none of those hold items will have any effect in battle...
;>> Honestly I didn't know that X Attack and such had no effect on pokemon while they hold them, I apologize for my stupidity ^^; Thank you for telling me though.
I am strange in my way of training... I do all of my core work with the EVs andbreeding of my Pokemon with my Ruby game, and then after they earn their Effort Ribbon, I trade them over to my Fire Red game and then finish the job.
My team currently goes as follows:
Umbreon Lv. 60, Male, Naughty
Item: Lum Berry
Moves:
Bite
Screech
Moonlight
Confuse Ray
Steelix Lv. 60, Male, Naive
Item: Quick Claw
Moves:
Rock Tomb
Iron Tail
Earthquake
Screech
Jolteon Lv. 60, Male Quiet
Item: King's Rock
Moves:
Bite
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Attract
Arcanine Lv. 60, Female, Docile
Item: Lax Incense
Moves:
Aerial Ace
Flamethrower
Extremespeed
Agility
Brightside (Lanturn) Lv. 50, Male, Lax
Item: Leftovers
Moves:

Confuse Ray
Hydro Pump
Livewire (Whiscash) Lv. 50, Male, Naughty
Item:Focus Band
Moves:
Spark
Mud Slap

I have several other Pokemon in my Box that also could be used in Making teams. I am in the process of finding a real good one, and am working on a Vaporeon, Espeon, Ludicolo, Houndoom, and Jumpluff to add to my box of teammates as well. My friend Bryan and I play to Level them up to 60, because it doesnt take as much time as it would to get them to Lv. 100, and we are college students, and we have to find the time to fit this into our schedule.
hey ok so i put lucario and gabite in for floatzel and roserade. how is that?
Good choices. Gabite/Garchomp is mainly a physical attacker, so watch out there.

Current Primary Team.
Empoleon (Kass) Level 69. Hold Item: Wave Incense.
Hydro Cannon
Brine
Ice Beam
Drill Peck
Garchomp (Somulo) Level 69. Hold Item: Luck Incense. For competitive battles, I'd would probably switch this out for a Razor Claw or something like that.
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Sandstorm (His ability is Sand Veil.)
Crunch
Lucario (Gaspar) Level 65. Hold Item: Fist Plate.
Aura Sphere
Dragon Pulse
Swords Dance
Extreme Speed
Luxray (Fritz) Level 65. Hold Item: Magnet. I may switch him out for a Manectric (preferably one with the static ability), which can learn Flame Thrower or Overheat and has a high Special Attack.

Staraptor (Raiquen) Level 73. Hold Item: Razor Claw. If I can find a better flying type PokeMon I may switch him out.
Brave Bird
Aerial Ace
Close Combat
HM Fly
Gengar (Hannya) Level 69. Hold Item: Spell Tag. I use Hannya primarily for catching wild PokeMon.
Hypnosis
Nightmare
Dream Eater
Shadow Ball
Alternates.
Golem (Roxy) Level 63. Hold Item: Soft Sand. Roxy is one of my 2 traveling buddies.
Earthquake
Rollout
HM Rock Smash
HM Rock Climb
Bibarel (Tubby) Level 63. Hold Item: Lax Incense. Tubby is one of my 2 traveling buddies.
HM Surf
HM Strength
HM Cut
HM Waterfall
Alakazam (Kazza) Level 57. Hold Item: Odd Incense. He could use some TMs if I ever decided to use him again.
Psychic
Psybeam
Future Sight
Recover
Machamp (Ryu) Level 51. Hold Item: Fist Plate. Ryu has become obsolete, and I don't use him anymore.
I was thinking about getting a Houndoom into my party possibly in Gengar's place, but I have too many PokeMon that are weak to ground attacks already. Just getting a Manectric with Flamethrower in Luxray's place would be a better decision, in my opinion.
Don't you dare switch our Staraptor. That little bird is a *** amongst Pok
I've looked through pretty much all of the other flying types in the PokeDex and the only one that really looked better was CHARIZARD, so it's likely that Staraptor is staying.

-----
I've got a Scyther, a Lucario, and an Umbreon that I swap with Scizor at any given time. Not going to bother listing their moves.
Electivire is my "play-to-win" Electric type. If I'm not on Wi-Fi, I use Raichu instead.
we should have a match sometime, I'm curious to see what would happen in a battle.
Ditch the repeat hold items and we'll see.
METAGAME LOL
And those two Choice Bands.
I'm switching blastoise for...
polywrath -?item?- hypnosis, haze, waterfall, focus punch
I really hope the fifth generation introduces more element/fighting types. I mean there's, what... Blaziken, Infernape, Breloom and Poliwrath? Not nearly enough. Electivire should've been Electric/Fighting. >=|
Toxicroak medicham and lucario.
i'm hoping for crazy new attacks that can change the game crazily and something new like idk something similar to abilitys or holding items
M Lucario 100
-Volt tackle
-Aura Sphere
-Psychic
-Dragon Pulse
M Absol 100
-Iron Tail
-Ice Beam
-Sucker Punch

I prefer a range of attack types for my best pokemon. This team is for Diamond's battle tower.
This is my non legendary team:
Sceptile
Typhlosion
Tyranitar
Electivire
Torterra
Swampert
I use this team in the Battle Tower, and occasionally against my rival. They are all Lv. 100. I'm changing movesets of all my Pokemon right now, so the team's movesets may be different when I'm done.
My main team on FireRed right now. I just beat Koga and I am on my way to Saffron City.

Quick Attack
Primeape (level 35) Quick Claw
Cross Chop

Karate Chop
Rock Tomb
Mr. Mime|Mimien (level 41)
Psybeam
Magical Leaf

Seismic Toss
The reason Mr. Mime has a nickname and is at a higher level is because it's traded, so it gets the boosted experience.
Anyway, opinions and suggestions?
Empoleon-Surf, Ice Beam, Mist, Aqua Jet.
Gardevoir-Psychic, Energy Ball, Thunderbolt, Protect.
Gallade-Psycho Cut, Brick Break, Leaf Blade, Earthquake.
Salamence-Fly, Thunder Fang, Crunch, Flamethrower.
Lucario-Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, ExtremeSpeed, Toxic.

they shouldve made luxray ele/drk. i think...
my team rocks out loud

My team in Platinum is (they're all lvl. 50):

Drapion, Male, Ability: Sniper, Item: Scope Lens

I need some advice on the best items on Rhyperior and Aerodactyl. Rhyperior knows Dragon Rush from evolving from a Rhyhorn that knew Dragon Rush when it hatched from an egg. The only Pokemon with my ID Number is Drapion. The rest were recieved in trades, so they were easier to train. The reason they're all Lvl. 50 is because I may enter the Pokemon VG Championships.
This is my current team for Fire Red, I'm not quite sure what to fill in the other spots with.

Did you use Gameshark? That team seems unreal! All level 100 is great. I can't get Groudon or Deoxys. I do have Rayquaza. Great team 100/100!
