Every time I log into vgchat, I got a bloody retarted pop-up add about "emitioniconplanet" or some borange like that.
I have to end task on it to make it go away, which closes all the windows.
Then I have to re-log in to vgchat, which is annoying.
Does anyone else get this?
It also slows things down If I don't get rid off it.
So, whats up with dat?... :bangbang:
Nope, I don't have it. Wouldn't surprise me were it spyware or adware or something, though I guess I can't say for sure. Try running ad-aware or something.
What I'm wondering about is the username/password pop-up everyone's getting on every thread that rika whatatataka has posted in.
I get no pop-ups.
It's adware. I can assure you of that, as I've had it. Adaware SE got it,though.
Are you using IE? If you are, think about switching to Fire Fox. I would offer a link, but I
I've gotten those before, but then I ran ad-aware. It's definitely spyware cause the pop-ups.
I get none.
Know why?

Thanks.
Real men use Firefox, and Macintosh computers!!!

Nope, real MEN, d*mmit, don't take this away from me.
Do you have spybot search and destroy? If not I would suggest downloading it...It's the first one on the page.
If that doesn't work switch to Firefox...I personally would do both.

"i use opera, firefox can go **** itself"
"so THAT's what the logo's doing..."
That's all I can think of when I see that logo: a fox humping the Earth. I have no problem with that; I like it, in fact. It is so much more arresting than the stodgy MSIE logo.
No, I never have an issue with pop-ups.
Ad-aware and Spybot are both ineffective at killing it.
Oh well...
And would you look at who just popped up.

Try the first part of that, and post a HJT log for me.
Uh, I get those sometimes, but not from this site.
I don't use Firefox, but I still don't have any trouble with pop-ups. Internet Explorer does the same thing, and my trouble only comes when I wanted the pop-up; as in, when one should come up as part of the site, but I haven't yet told the blocker to allow them on that page.
"'Hump the planet" seems to of fixed the problem.
And it turns out it was much easier than I thought to do.
Only 4mb or so to download and it automaticly transfers all the favourites and stuff.
Good.
