Hey I was just wondering if your GameCubes came with the time correctly set or at least almost correctly set... for some reason my GameCube's clock was set all the way in the year 2044 when I first turned it on and it wont let me change the clock.

If I remember correctly, the date was already set correctly on mine. I only had to change the clock.
I'm not sure about yours. Is it used?
the internal battery could be dead...
...Or someone could have installed linux on it in the past if it's second hand, corrupting something or another.
Mine was a bit off, but it was within a year for memory.
My friend got one about 2 months ago and I think it was 2-3 years off.

thanks for the feedback..well when i try to change it it always forgets when i turn it back on... i have to set it each time
Sounds like a dead internal battery. Send it off to Nintendo, they should fix it for free.
Mine only came with the date pre-loaded because I got it on launch day... :)
