I thought there was a thread on this, but I couldn't locate. Merge if necessary.
Topic: Discuss upcoming films.
K, Darren Aronofsky. His last two films (Pi and Requiem for a Dream) were both intriguing. I have been looking forward to his next film (The Fountain) for a long time now, and I hope it arrives soon. I am unaware of the actual release date. He has three lined up for 2005, but I find it difficult to believe that he'll be able to compose that many within such a limited time.
Terrence Malick has his work on the way. The New World, about explorer John Smith. That's another one I am looking forward to. Christian Bale is a superb actor and I am looking forward to everything he has on the way, including Batman Begins.
Where is Paul Thomas Anderson?
I am also looking forward to Kingdom of Heaven, Elizabethtown, Oliver Twist, The Island, The Brothers Grimm, and Howl's Moving Castle!
Well I want to see Batman Begins, because I grew up watching Batman. All I know on the movie is that it comes out in theaters in June. But I cant wate for it to come out, hopefully its better then the last batman film.
heh, im looking forward to kind of the same thing, except its another comik book character. superman returns looks real cool. its too bad they couldnt get tom welling to play superman though. he would have been perfect. but there's still a chance brandon james routh will do all righte.
i would also like to see star wars 3 and cinderella man. im guessing star wars 3 will live upto the lucas films expectations or unfortnately, sink it. cinderella man looks a little like brad pit's area in snatch. but a little more based upon. prety cool
I dont find Star Wars interesting, I never liked it. But Darth Vader is my favorite so I might like Revenge of the Sith.
it turns out pretty cool. the story is pretty twisted. i especially like the scene where anakin kills mace windu. i never expected that, or the fact that palpatine is darth sidyus.
theres another movie, about a machine plane going rogue. its directed by the guy who made xXx and the fast and furious. that looks amazing too.
I wont be going to see star wars anyways. I only seen parts to older films.
AVP2 ^^
...Howl's Moving Castle!
*Howl. I dunno, I don't really like Dianne Wynne Jones' books (with the exception of Fire and Hemlock), so I might not watch it... But since the story was alright, I'm hoping they'll butcher it to the extent of making it slightly better and that it's in Japo with subtitles when (and if) it hits cinemas over here.
Star Wars III and War of the Worlds look good, but I'm mainly looking forward to Kingdom of Heaven.
AVP2 ^^
...you're kidding
I've not really liked the current Star Wars trilogy, but I'll probably watch Episode III to better fill out the continueing Star Wars story and it looks to have some cool hitech action scenes.
Batman Begins, I liked the other Batman movies outside of Batman And Robin.
And the new Superman and Spider-Man movies whenever they come out.
That's all I can really think of right now.
-Batman Begins
-Jurassic Park 4
-Star Wars Episode III
-King Kong
-War of the Worlds
-Superman
-The Fantastic Four (*crosses fingers*, please don't suck)
Those are the films i'm most looking forward to in order. Basically the entire summer blockbuster line-up. I'm also eager to see Tim Burton's new animated flick starring Johnny Depp. I forgot what the name of the movie is, but it looks an awful lot like The Nightmare "Before Christmas", which Burton also directed.
Even though I didn't like The Crow: Salvation, The Crow: Wicked Prayer sounds pretty neat...
i'm really lookin forward to:
Fantastic 4
Starwars III
X3 (but thats ages away!!)
Resident Evil: Afterlife
an probably ma favourite; Underworld 2, Underworld: Evolution!!!
oh and: Mr and Mrs Smith
I hope the new Superman movie is as good or near as good the classic. That should be cool to watch. I'm also looking forward to seeing Spider Man 3. X-Men 3 has still yet to come out so that should be another interesting film. The Legend of Zoro is also coming out during the summer. These are just a few I'm most looking forward to seeing along with Fantastic 4.
hmmm....lol, but the new star wars looks good
James Wong is working on Final Destination 3. James directed the first Final Destination film and The One. I'm actually interested in this project. I enjoyed the previous two films.
Curious George is on the way. Might be fun, but fun can easily turn into bumbling idiocy.
They're making a Curious George movie? Does that mean they'll make a Babar movie, too? O_o
I'm looking forward to The Mask of Zorro, Iron Man, King Kong, and I might as well see the Castlevania movie, if it's based off of LoI. I honestly don't pay attention to what movies are being produced and stuff. Are there any movie info sights out there?
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It looks like it's going to be better than the last one, at least.
top upcoming movies i want to see are:
ice hunter (billy bob, cusack, llooks funny)
kiss kiss bang bang (robert downey is the bomb)
The Triangle (eric stoltz is the man, plus dude who made Xmen is making it for scifi channel)
Yours, mine & ours (dennis quaid is a super-underrated actor and it's got Rene Russo in it. can you say milf?)
derailed (typically like angelina better, but this one with jennifer looks good)
Watched the Superman Returns trailer this morning. Looks a lot like Batman Begins, hope it'll be as good.
Oh, and I'm also looking forward to Casino Royale. It'll be nice to have something of a throwback to the old Bond flicks, maybe...
I'd really like to see Walk The Line, since it looks intresting.
Other than that, I'm absolutely going nuts over Aeonflux. Saw a bunch of stuff on it at ComiCon, and have been waiting ever since.
Dexter, you're right. I keep calling it "the ice hunter" for some reason....anyway, how was Harry POtter?
oh, and about The Triangle. I just read that Bryan Singer (superman) is behind this one. so that makes three people im interested in seeing this one. Four if you count Lou Diamond Philips.
I guess the upcoming movies I'm looking forward too are King Kong and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
I might see capote and walk the line, but it is very doubtful as I'm tired of bio pics.
Wolf Creek and King Kong
King Kong and Superman Returns.
