A bunch of my friends told me that the first book and movie were good, but when I saw an ad for the movie with like five shirtless guys on the poster, I automatically knew that my friends were closet homosexuals. We don't talk anymore.

Seems like a scifi romance movie for girls to me...Its just guys showing off their chests and girls are like only talking about how hot guys are..
Bella almost dies giving birth to Edward's child in the final book. Some of my friends in the Anti-Twilight Fan Club on Naruto Forums say the book makes it seem pretty gruesome. I wonder if they're gonna stick to the PG-13 rating and just make the scene ****ty or if they'll make it R rated and make it worth watching.

The last book has the craziest plotline I've ever heard. Seriously. Edward bangs Bella into unconsciousness, she gets knocked up, the baby breaks her spine and ribs during pregnancy, Edward performs a c-section with his teeth, and Jacob casts a spell thing so he'll marry the baby. I'll never read the books, but if its turned into a movie i'd watch it.

For a book that fails in every conceivable way, the first Twilight novel is a decent enough read. I'd certainly take it over some of the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invisible_Man]tripe they make me read in English[/url], but it still reeks of mindless literary girl porn. It's most interesting as a window into the mind of the females who actually enjoy it.
I suspect that these are the same girls who consider Usher to have musical talent.
I was at an apartment two friends of mine room in together and I noticed that one of them had three twilight books on the shelf. I've always said I would read the first one some day so I would know what I'm making fun of, so sometime when I am there again and she is awake I will ask if I can borrow it.
