I, too, never played COD4 and barely played WaW's online. COD5 was actually the first COD I've played, so I initially got my *** handed to me in most matches. However, I do better now, though a lot of times it just depends on who's playing. I can't say I care enough about the game to become one of the ridiculous camping retards who will get on their knees and suck some dick to get better at the game.
My k/d ratio is 409/609 right now, which, idk, doesn't seem TOO bad to me since Call of Duty is basically "whoever sees enemy first wins"

but yeah I played with cats, vamp, and skitzo two nights ago and they all own hardcore at this game. granted I was never the best fps player of all time but it was still a humbling experience.
I tend to play a pretty sloppy game, since I like going sub machine guns marathon runner, faster running, and steady aim. RUN&GUN BBY!

Dex, same here, haven't even touched the one player mode, been trying to keep my ratio decent, but it's kinda hard when you're sharing the game and they get 3 kills with 17 deaths a lot *rage* Dex, you play on the xbox still, I remember you and vamp and call of duty 2 and I think I landed only one kill. It was actually rape, but I think I've definitely gotten much better. In case you ever set up a game with some vgcers etc or anyone in general!

Totally. My favorite XBL time was playing CoD4 with a full krew of VGCers/real people I know.
I played for the first time last night, but didn't go online at all. Riot shields and throwing knives only is fun. Also, riot shield bashing matches atop scaffolding remind me of good old salmon wars in Halo 2.
I bought a copy of it on release date but instead of playing it i decided to go back and replay CoD4 on Veteran to catch up with the main story and get the rest of the achievements i was missing before I start on Modern Warfare 2. Just finished with that yesterday. The only remaining achievement is Mile High Club which I'll try to get tomorrow, and after that, on to 2.
However i did watch my friend play parts of the game, including the controversial "No Russian" mission. It should be noted that I had not even heard about this mission until the day I saw it and it was some pretty heavy stuff. It's got that really eerie, almost nightmarish like feel, with the creepy music playing in the background while you gun down innocent civilians in such a sadistic manner.
I can't wait to play it myself and see how it all fits into the main storyline.

I use the FAMAS w/ red dot and Sleight of Hand, Stopping Power, and Ninja. I was using Steady Aim until I realized hip firing works better without it strangely. Pretty much all I use, got my Fall camo awhile ago lol.
edit: that and i used to use a silencer exclusively until I realized I run around enough to where the red blip on someone's radar is pretty inaccurate. that and I usually know when someone sees it anyway so I can take advantage of it
well, I normally try to switch between guns whenever I get all the extras for it. Mix it up a bit.

Karachi is the worst because there's literally no way to safely approach the 1000 different building camping spots without getting your **** wrecked.

Quarry is pretty neat but it's one of the two or three maps I have trouble with sometimes. Terminal is my favorite, reminds me of Convention Center from Vegas 2 for some reason. Even though it can be imbalanced as **** if played correctly.

I don't mind Karachi to be honest. Haven't played terminal, highrise, and a few others for a while for some reason and I too hated Underpass as well, but it grew on me over time.
Afghan is pretty decent if you're a bastard like me and camp on Hardcore HQ all the **** time. And I kind of hate Quarry, but that's due to me sucking *** on it.

Been playing for a few weeks now, steadily improving. Went 28-5 on a FFA match on Karachi this afternoon, all the while being screeched at by a very angry Yorkshireman who accused everyone else in the game of being "campin' coonts". Got it when I got my Xbox a few weeks ago. Pretty bad ***. Working on Hardened difficulty on campaign but I am too occupied by LIVE.

while the xbox was gone, I abused the campaign to see what it was like. Can't play with a keyboard and mouse for the life of me, beat it on regular mode. Can be beaten in under 6 hours, on veteran, then, probably a bit more, I'll give veteran a try later on. I was able to veteran all cod's cept 3 since I never got that
Level 51, still toying with perks and what not. My most stable class seems to be for small stages where people seem to be pretty retarded. P90 with marathon, lightweight, and ninja/commando. I think a stinger attached for some team support, sticky's, flash, and final stand. I seem to get 7 streaks easily with it. Still toying around to see the best combo for me, and I'm actually trying to snipe since I've never been able to in the past games.
edit: I'm not too bad, anyone on xbawks add me, I'll usually be on thursdays through saturday later at night after 9 mountain time (-7 bullcrap), anything before that is probably my bro in law.

I beat the game on Regular difficulty and it counted Recruit as 100% done so the question I have is if I beat it on Veteran will it count Hardened as 100% complete? If so, I'll move right on to Veteran and not waste my time.

Nah, you have to beat every difficulty separately otherwise you won't be able to get the achievements without deleting your save and starting over. If you've already got a campaign save on a lower difficulty then you need to scrub it and go from the beginning.

I switch my Primary a lot. If it's a gun I'll use a silencer or heartbeat sensor. Secondary I use a launcher of some sort for helicopters that always come about. My setup is Cold-Blooded Pro, Ninja Pro, and Marathon for the most part. I like to be sneaky.
