Facebook browser games

Posted by WillisGreeny

They're getting better thanks to less ads and not as much pushing to get all your friends playing. Today I was bored and later surprised to find a browser game (Farmville) on Facebook that could actually keep my interest passed "select-5-friends" introduction (which this game doesn't require or even ask). It's a lot like harvest moon, but browserised to incorporate days of absence. Noone can lose anything from other players. Only way to lose stuff is to stay gone for long periods of time, inwhich case crops die.

It seems to have the same revenue strategy that Travians has, allowing players to purchase gold with real money to get ahead. Zynga (company that made Farmville) also made Mafia Wars and a few others for facebook which I have yet to try but heard were also good.

I've had my fill of Facebook games, but if I ever get really bored again...

The only game I play on Facebook is UNO. Really fun. I play Bloodlines, Mobsters, Mafia Wars, and Gang Wars on MySpace. I don't like them on Facebook.

Why's it so much better on Myspace? I don't use it so the differences could be obvious and I wouldn't know.

I dunno if there is really a reason but I just think they have a better feel on MySpace. I've tried them on Facebook and I just didn't like it. Not sure if there is a legitimate reason and I am not seeing it or if it's just me. Probably just me.
