I have a PS3 connected to a Linksys router with a Ethernet Power Adapter because the wireless signal is too weak in my room. It was working fine. It would time out once an hour on my old router. I put in the Linksys router hoping to stop the timing out completely and now it times out every ten minutes. I swapped in the old router and the same thing happened.
What is wrong!?
Hey, Sparko. You might want to see if your Linksys router is working on other electronics in your home. If you're like me, Linksys routers tend to break down after a while, the connection becomes ridiculously distorted to the point where it can't manage sending around all that data. It might be time to get a new router, especially if yours is an older model.
You can also try re-applying wireless information to your PS3, or taking a couple hours to relax to see if maybe it's just a temporary thing. That's what I would do, anyway.
