Well, I never actually played the Game & Watch, but I played a game from it on that terrible and unsuccessful e-Reader add-on for the GBA. It was kinda fun. Simple games are fun sometimes.

True, until you beat them a million times.

Its happening with me.

I have Kirby Squeak Squad.
Easiest game in my opinion.
Im already tired of beating the game.
(DONT BUY IT)

Ah yes, the "Game & Watch". Came out just after the grammaphone. People would play it during the great depression next to their gas lanterns.

But seriously, the G&W was big news in 1981. It was the start of portable gaming. Kids back then didn't mind the 1-frame LCD animation, or the 3 beep sound. It was a game! And a watch! Combined! Total genre twister there.

Also, this model influenced the Nintendo DS's design.

EDIT: Here's what playing the Game & Watch is like.

Now beat my 4-year hi-score!

I would never be any good at a Game and Watch because it is too simple. I enjoy the games with tons of buttons and actions, instead of just jump. It's weird that I beat every game I played except the lame *but good* original gameboy and NES games because they are too simple. For example, Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda originals. I am close to beating them, but not quite. :(

Too simple? That's a new one. Are you sure you don't just mean "too difficult". Games from the NES era are literally 13 times harder on average than most modern games.
I don't understand how simplicity would make a game less beatable.

Let me rephrase that; Because they are too hard; happy?
I rather play a game with a ton of buttons and actions than just a d-pad and 2 action buttons.
