Nothings confirmed yet, though I'm hopeful, the second gen was the best in the Pokemon series.
I watched a man defeat an entire team of legendaries with a magikarp and a smeargle without cheating. Crap, I think I'm going to have to get one of these.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I wouldn't mind playing the same game with updated looks or play. Adding numbers to the Pokemon fuels that OCD that your ABDN rages about anyways, so I thought you would've agreed. **** those new Pokemon.

yeah, a lot of the new pokemon are pretty cool and 4th gen in particular took useless **** like rhydon and gligar and made them useful by giving them new evolutions
I might actually consider getting a DSi if they remake Gold and Silver. Those games along with Crystal were the best in the series and still are to this day.

In Gold and Silver, I had every slot but one filled. This is the Pokemon I remember. If the mechanics were updated I would have no problem with it, but I can't keep my listkeeping down when I have so many empty slots to fill. I can't handle it. It's why I don't play WoW.

To be honest if you actually played WoW you'd probably realise it's crap fairly quickly.

Eh, I don't see why everyone's fretting about adding more Pokemans. I'm against it myself, but I recall Fire Red/Leaf Green having the exact same amount. Maybe they threw in a legendary or something, but I'm pretty sure it was unchanged from R/B/Y, was it not? Why would they anything different for the next remakes?

Rumour has it Kanto has also been remade and it is possible to get the Kanto starters and legendaries and the Hoenn starters. And a Celebi event!
Hmm, the G/S/C generation is the only one I haven't played, and I've heard it's the best, so I'll have to try these out.
Still though, I think Gold and Silver had the stupidest starters. :(

Seriously, Pokemon are "Pocket Monsters." They're supposed to be, uh, monsters. Even if they're loosely based on a mouse or something like Pikachu, they're pretty much animals in their own right. Giratina, even though it's weird and doesn't resemble anything, is far better than a fscking Mime Pokemon.
I still don't think you can say in good conscience that Giratina looks as good as any Gen I or II legendary.
I honestly rather like those designs though, I guess my point was they're inspired and are at least decent graphic design (except Mr. Mime, he's fucking hideous). Tons of the modern ones are a clusterfuck of spikes and random appendages, like the Pok

It's not like they actually throw more than 250 at you at any one time, you always have to trade between versions. The original 150 were as unbalanced as hell anyway, they've always need more.

Funny how G/S were the last Pokemon games i played back when I was addicted to the series and now their remakes are probably going to be the games that will lure me back and get me to start playing them again.

My dad works for nintendo, and I already have a copy of both pure silver and solid gold- they are so much better than any game before it! Totodile is awesome!
Like I said, it is called Shining Gold and Pure Silver, and it is ****in fun! Choose cyndaquil all the way. Sometimes I think I'm extremely luck to have my dad work for nintendo.
