Silent Hill:Shattered Memories

Now, I have never in the past been a Silent Hill fan, but I think I might just give this one a try. I'm actually kind of excited for it, to tell the truth. They certainly seem to be trying to use the Wii system the best they can, which is nice, and I'm glad to see an actual hardcore third-party game coming to the Wii, rather than the junk-food games Nintendo has been pumping out for it lately.
Not sure how I feel about the prospect of not having any weapons, though...http://wii.ign.com/articles/971/971316p1.html

I recommend this game, though my praise for it would be higher had I not run into a horrible bug. After spending most of my day thoroughly enjoying this fine piece of game design, free of awkward combat and minigames on what is otherwise the worst videogame system since the Virtual Boy, the game interrupted my play to tell me it had to delete my save file, as it was corrupted. Not only did my progress vanish, but the game also locked me up in a mode that prevented me from saving a new file. Thus, all was lost, and I'm too angry at the moment to play it again.

If you don't get this bug, you'll enjoy great exploration, an interesting story, and intense chase sequences. The latter has a few frustrating flaws, mostly dealing with the typically poor Wii Remote recognition and the ease in which you can end up running in circles while creatures tirelessly chase you, but I feel it's the direction this series should go in. It is also visually impressive, as it's probably the most successful Wii game at portraying people and environments realistically.

More adventure games like this one should be released on the Wii. That's about all the system is good for.
