Recently I've been having problems connecting to my friend, who only lives a few blocks away from me. We can't connect to xbox live parties, private chats, or game invites. I used google but the only only thing I could understand is that its a problem with my NAT, nothing really on how to fix it. He said his NAT is set to moderate, but since the dashboard update Im not sure how to check what mine is set too.
Anyone have any thoughts and how to fix this? Im using a Belkin N wireless router.
- use connection check in system settings
- if your NAT isnt open:
- put the xbox on a static IP and put that IP in your router's dmz
Thing is, the dashboard update changed the connection test so it doesn't show what the NAT is set on. Is there another way to check?
edit: Ok, pretty sure i found out its Open. Ill test everything out in a bit
