The other project from Neige of Alcest, Amesoeurs combines 90's black metal with post-punk. There's only an EP right now, with two songs that were originally intended for Mortifera reworked into a new style, and one song with female vocals by Audrey Sylvain. That song has a classic post-punk sound, and it's really dark and beautiful.

There's an album coming out eventually, and that should be pretty good.

Hopefully they'll release a full-length sometime soon. But I guess new Alcest will have to do for now.

I read on their MySpace they're going to record one this year. No release dates, but probably sometime next year.

Yeah, I see what you're talking about. I thought it was weird because "Prevail In Decay" has no punk vibe whatsoever.
