Do they help? Do you use them & notice a considerable change or is this just more **** to shove on your hard drive to collect dust?
I've got 768 kbps DSL from att recently & saw in some help files that speeds under 220+ kbps was unacceptable. So I notice that when I download, it usually sticks to 70-90kbps sometimes rising to 220-300+ kbps (but not often & only lasts for around 5 seconds or so). So do internet optimers, like the stuff on this page work or no?
TCP Optimizer and some others work... to an extent. But it's free anyways so you might as well download. Just don't expect something amazing.
I found one that seems to work great called Dr TCP.
