You have to run into that one house to trigger the chainsaw guy and then kill some more villagers and eventually a church bell rings and they all scatter.

For the last part? I don't know about that. I killed as many zombies as I had bullets for and they never left. Just an endless stream of them. Even hunkered down in one corner and knifed a good twenty of them and nothing happened.

It took me the full last level to get used to it because I had my buddy explaining everything to me. What really threw me was turning the assistance off (throws your view way back and lets you do crazy **** with your plane) and that was really difficult to get the hang of. But suddenly it clicked and I understood how to turn the plane depending on my view and BAM, the game ****ing ruled.
It's badass going 2000 miles and hour and slamming on the brakes to do a flip and then flying ****ing backwards while blasting everyone with missiles.
Seriously, with assistance off it feels like a sports game almost.
