Rules

2. Following items on low: Pokeballs, Crates, Barrels, Capsules, Party Balls, Blast Box, Food, Dragoon Parts, Super Mushrooms, Poison Mushrooms, Warp Star, Bunny Hood, Beam Sword, Star Rod, Lip's Stick, Motion-Sensor Bomb, Gooey Bomb, Freezie, Pitfall, Hotheads, Mr. Saturn, Green Shell, Banana Peel, Bumper, Spring, Unira, Team Healer, Franklin Badge, Screw Attack.
3. 3-stock matches, best 2 out of 3.
4. The winner of the first round must re-use the same character for the second round. The third round is a free pick for both combatants.
5. Legal stages are: Battlefield, Final Destination, Delfino Plaza, Luigi's Mansion, Pirate Ship, Norfair, Frigate Orpheon, Yoshi's Island (Brawl), Battleship Halberd, Lylat Cruise, Poke'mon Stadium 2, Distant Planet, Smashville, The Summit, Pictochat, Brinstar, Poke'mon Stadium
6. Team attack is ON
7. This tournament is single-elimination!
8. TL;DRing will get you banned from VGC forever.

To say it in the briefest way possible (since I know how you faggots are), you start with a bank of 10 stocks and play until you run out. When you win a match, you keep the stock you had left, plus a ten stock bonus to keep you lasting. And even though you're on a team, stock banks are based on individuals and cannot be pooled between the two.

Iris and I are on a team this time. Like always, please do not make a team with somebody you've played with before unless there is a special reason for you to (none that I can think of).

Well, after Iris practically begged me to join (:-*), I decided I'd participate in this. The way I see it, I'm gonna be up in Simi next Saturday so Ant and I can play on a team with less lag, plus it would be kind of a trip playing alongside him in real life. I don't know how cool you guys are with waiting a few more days; Iris says she can start the tournament on Tuesday or Wednesday, but I know you guys don't like waiting and are probably itching for this to start.

But yeah, long story short I claim Ant to be my teammate, even though I would still just really rather not be a part of this. Best of luck to everyone!! :cool2:

why can't you just do it as is?

The brackets would be uneven, some people would advance automatically. If we really can't get more people, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but we're giving it some time while we beg more potential players.

just let the good teams advance.

Fine by me. Round robin is probably the only way we can ever hope to have team tourneys anymore.

I'd rather it not be round robin. I could still do stock, but it'd be more of a contest to see who can get their matches done first.

Like I said in the now-nonexistent post, I advise you actively choose a team to make an appointment with rather than waiting to see who is available. Unlike the last round robin, you will have to wrangle four people at a time, and we can't wait for you all to conveniently be online at once. Ask your partner about their schedule so, when making arrangements, you don't have to wait and ask them if an appointment at a certain time works for them.
