maybe a soldier is standing on the roof upside down and its dark and he just spotted snake
Or snake is hanging from the roof.
Snake is Sam Fisher. Would explain the green font.
SPLINTER CELL VS METAL GEAR
100000 times better than MK vs DC
lambert vs colonel
h-h-h-holy... nani... desu... ka... 0_0
Maybe MGS would have good multiplayer finally.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
The GameFAQers seem to think this indicates a Metal Gear game for the iPhone, fyi.
It's another metal gear acid game.
A next Metal Gear is...
Konami
A next Metal Gear is...
Konami
A next Metal Gear is...
Seems pretty clear and straightforward to me. Metal Gear Konami.
Might be a new Ac!d game for XBLA.
iPhone? GameFAQs sucks. Clearly for the box.
No maian yet?
Ac!d for iphone
I officially hate viral marketing.
CRYPTIC METAPHOR.
[quote=maian;911115]I would love to see a reboottwin snakes buddy
is that really necessary
unless we're remaking metal gear 1 and 2, which definitely need a do-over
they need to make metal gear 3 and 4
that would be hell of *****ing
Yeah, Twin Snakes was a remake, not a reboot. ;| I didn't think it was THAT bad, but I've also never actually played MGS1.
Anyway, I don't really think there's anywhere else they could go. It would be an absolute joke to continue the direct storyline as it is, and doing ANYTHING with Solid Snake that's not in the past would be devastating.
On the other hand, going back in time doesn't do much, since trying to add story to prequels would only convolute the story more, and not doing so would make an extremely predictable story, though that wouldn't be too bad if they just did it right. If there is anything to be done in the past of the Metal Gear World, I would easily go for full fledged remakes of Metal Gear 1 and 2 with the story level of the MGS games. It'd be great to see Solid and Big Boss together in that era, and would make for fun, traditional MGS games. Other than that, I think it'd be fun to see a game about The Boss. They could make a pretty interesting story for it that's so far in the past from the MGS games that it most likely wouldn't matter, and it'd be great to revisit the Cold War era that we saw in MGS3, except it'd probably be even earlier, which I have no objections to.
Ultimately though, a reboot would work. They could start an entirely new story (which would probably work better because they won't think every new game is the last like Kojima did, which made him convolute the story a lot and retcon), with an entirely new cast of characters and setting. It could be in an entirely new universe or era, or it could be the same world the MGS games were set in, with references here and there to the old games. I just want to see what they do with it. Metal Gear Solid 5 will be the game that decides if the series can still survive, so I'm hoping they do a good job.

Jeez, maian, you didn't play the original yet? I guess you didn't masturbate like every other Metal Gear fan when the original PS1 Shadow Moses startup in full classic mode came up in MGS4. Holy ****, I came.
Well, I don't own a PS1 or a PS2 so that makes things kind of difficult. :cookie:
I know according to most fans, Twin Snakes kind of sucks, but it was still REALLY awesome to me when Shadow Moses came up. Obviously, it wasn't "OHSHI NOSTALGIA BLAST WHOO" but it was fscking amazing. That, and arriving at the heliport in MGS4 graphics was awesome. I still explore the entire area every time I play MGS4.
A PS2 and MGS1 will cost you a little more than one current-gen game.
That's also the most terrible idea possible that should NOT warrant a cryptic teaser ad.
I mean, having an ad like this for a CELL PHONE game is bad enough, but for an Ac!d game? Blah.
You never played Acid 2, did you? I have a feeling you never even played either. Because the second was actually a good game.
And this isn't exactly a big, fancy teaser. It's just a couple words with barely any effort put into it.
metal gear solid's biggest fan: 'well i havent really played that many games in the series, heh'
Did you ever play the normal games?
I have played the Acid games, they're just not my cup of tea. Is it not normal to be more excited for a new entry into the main series than for a potential cell phone spinoff game?

Boring. I mean, the idea makes sense because it's the iphone and you can't do too much with it in terms of gaming, but ****. Leave the Metal Gear franchise for something a bit more exciting.
Metal Gear Mobile: Codec Wars - Send crank calls to the Colonel, Mei Ling, and even Meryl using your Razr V3 Headset. Available in stores now, makes the perfect Christmas gift.
as someone who got a touch for christmas this was kinda good news until i started trying to play games on the touch
