Yeah, it felt like they weren't really meant to walk there, like the floor was from one world and the character another. Somewhat like Fallout, only it was like they were gliding forth over the ground.

Well, I've put about 30 hours into multiplayer already, which is pretty good considering I'm around 10 days in total for CoD4. Until matchmaking is fixed in gears 2 I don't think it's quite worth buying yet, so in terms of shooters it can't really be beat in my opinion.
PoP is the only other game on the box that's still yet to come out that I'm looking forward to, so I mean there's not much competition.

@angelwing: You should try Rune Factory 2. Looks pretty cool, especially if you like HM and Baldur's Gate type dungeon stuff.
@cats: I had to put 3-4 days of grinding into that to make it semi-fun again. And after the really long ending sequence and entertaining credits I told myself it was all worth it. MAYBE YOU'LL DO THE SAME
ps- I started using a guide hardcore at the end, not sure I'd have made it otherwise.
