But recently I was banned from Serebii because someone made up lies about me, so I've come here. I'm also on ACC, which doesn't seem to have very many threads, and GameFAQs, which is barely even a forum. I doubt any of you will recognize my name. I figured I'd start here before I look for threads again.

I think that might be Andromon. My favorites were Renamon (duh) Gatomon (duh) , Gargomon, and MetalGreymon (<3 cyborgs) And Gaomon's kinda cute too. Oh and I can't forget Flamemon (Yahoo Image Search, first result).

I think you're taking "relax" a little too far. Granted, I've only been back for a few days, so I don't really know what vgc is like now, but I don't want people being jerks to me just because the mods don't care whatsoever. I Think there's a difference between going easy on people and just not caring about rules at all. And I'm not saying I'm uptight (believe me, ACC is a little nuts with restrictions). I just don't want this to be like the chans. I'm not asking for people to like me, but I want to keep the personal attacks, flaming, and trolling away. Even if it is "in jest", I really think there's a line. As far as swearing, it doesn't bother me at all as long as it's not directed toward someone in particular, but I think it's stupid to go out of your way to swear. Even if it's not specifically against the rules, the filter is in place.

Again, if that's what you want, there's millions of video-game-dedicated forums out there that are more popular, more strict and with more traffic than this one. For me the appeal of this forum is that it's NOT those forums. And if you don't like it, well, a google search will bring you to any number of other forums you might enjoy more.

This place is full of people with bully personalities. If you start complaining about something the others don't agree on, you'll have them all over you in no time. You either adapt and don't complain or have them all against you. Trust me, been there, done that. VGC is more or less anarchistic these days, and no matter how hard you strive you won't bring much, if any, structure back here.

from what i remember this place is still a LOT like it was long, long ago when I first joined, only with far more 'big bad vets' active than 'nice little newbies' -- and many of the old 'nice little newbies' have turned into big bad vets themselves
it's always been a pretty insane and 'anarchistic' type of forum; the head admin and creator of the place is JESSE SMITH. there's never been an overwhelming amount of 'structure' and it's always been pretty much just a 'lay back and talk about whatever you want and just try not to go totally insanely overboard with drama or messing with people or trying to get yourself in trouble and everything'll be ok'
man i remember when i first became moderator of the old megaman forum and there was this totally offtopic thread full of people posting random pictures and crap and i locked it and felt all good for myself for doing my first good job as a mod then like a ton of people freaked out and basically brought to my attention 'that's not how we do things around here' -- and this was 2001
there's always been super *******s and badass renegades that ride off in the sunset on harley davidsons too they're just not named emporer frieza or (insert weird long japanese name here) anymore
so yeah basically this is what vgc is and always has been and it's a love it or leave it type deal. it's been around a long time and it's still pretty **** active compared to a lot of forums I've been to, but not so active that it's impossible to get to know people or keep up with the active posts, which a lot of other forums are like
it's actually quite great or else i wouldn't KEEP coming back every single time i leave for any length of time, and if you're actually able to wrap your head around it and chill out you'd probably enjoy it a great deal

I don't trust search engines for things like this. most of these "millions" of sites are probably garbage or invisionfree boards that only have 100 members. It's hard to find something that's popular, broad, AND well-moderated.
