Monitor and Capture Card Issues.

Posted by lanzer

My capture card monitor converter just broke a pin and it was the pin that controlled color on my monitor now my monitor is all blue-ish (the other colors except blue are dulled out)

I have a ATi all in wonder 9000 series card (not sure which 9000 card it is) and these particular cards have some crazy *** port and i need a converter to plug my screen into.

Heres a pic of a similar card and the converter tool. How do i get a new converter tool? is it possible to get one without going through the ATi customer support (because my warranty has long since been expired i bought the card in 2004)

Also theres a few pins that are stuck in the port is there a way to get them out?

Thank you for the help.

Ok, that is an ATI All In Wonder 9600, and that hookup is a proprietary ATI LE5. With that said, I honestly think you should get a new card. Those pins are pretty hard to get out. Plus I just did some looking for a new cable, and it looks like they might be hard to come by. I haven't found any yet, and I've looked at places like eBay, Google Shopping etc.... I even went to ATI's own store, and they didn't carry it.

It is really proprietary, I don't know why they even went with that style. The other (and newer) All-in-wonders use either VGA or DVI for the monitors.

If you are dead set on finding that cord, you could always email AMD/ATI. I think though you would be better off getting a new card, as like I said, the pins would be extremely hard to get out.
