Where should lisa live

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

I mean, before I move to Florida.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

I was thinking Vancouver, but it rains all the time. **** that.

So now I'm thinking Toronto. But if winters are gay there, then nvm.

Posted by Iris

Underground!

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Too cold.

Posted by Slade

Then move closer to the earth's core.

So you're looking for someplace that's warm/clear with mild winters?

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Pretty much.

Actually, I want it to be blazing hot all year round.

Posted by Ant

Phoenix.

Posted by Ant

it's 100 here right now and I want to die. I'm so ****ing sick of the heat. can't wait for winter.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

It's only 17 here. ****

How boring is Phoenix?

Posted by Ant

never really been. just know it's warm there even in winter. probably no more boring than where you live though

Posted by WillisGreeny

Come to Iowa. It'll make everything seem exciting once you leave :D. Actually, It's not so bad, but I still wouldn't recommend it as an "awesome" place.

Posted by Linkman

Quoting Angelwing: Pretty much.

Actually, I want it to be blazing hot all year round.

Venus. Gorgeous 750 degree Fahrenheit temps all year round! Try to avoid the acid rain though.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Why would you want to move to America now of all times? That place is a ****hole now.

Quoted post: So now I'm thinking Toronto. But if winters are gay there, then nvm.

What do you consider gay? Because Toronto has one of the better winters in Ontario. You'll get snow, but it's not a ****ton and it's not mind-numbingly freezing either. Most people from Winnipeg think Torontonians are pussies for thinking a Toronto winter is actually winter anyways.

Posted by Ant

Torontonians sounds like some sort of alien race. COOL

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

sounds like a species of dinosaur

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

lisasaurus

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

what are winnipegers called? Winnipegonians? Winnipegians? Winnipegites? Winnipegers?

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Quoting Vampiro V. Empire: Why would you want to move to America now of all times? That place is a ****hole now.

I don't want to live in america. It's just Florida is awesome and hot.

gay as in cold winters and really rainy in the summer. What's the weather like there for all seasons? What's the coldest it gets in winter? Are the summers nice? Do you like Toronto?

Lol wtf?

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Plus your healthcare system is lame.

Posted by WillisGreeny

Granted...

But Florida isn't awesome. It's hot, but not awesome.

Quoted post: I don't want to live in america. It's just Florida is awesome and hot.

Man, you should move somewhere exotic then. Or more exotic than Florida anyways. At least for me anyways, if I was moving somewhere for heat, there's nicer, more interesting places than Florida, you know?

Quoted post: gay as in cold winters and really rainy in the summer. What's the weather like there for all seasons? What's the coldest it gets in winter? Are the summers nice? Do you like Toronto?

The coldest it'll get around here is -20. The average temperature in winter though is around -5 to -10, which is fairly comfortable. Though this year Toronto got hammered with rain, and so did the rest of Southern Ontario, but that's far from typical. We usually just get rain here and there, enough to keep gardens hydrated, you know? As for Summer, it gets pretty hot. It's right near lake Ontario, right, so you get high humidity. Average temperature is around 28 degrees, but with humidity it's around 35 to 40.

As for the city itself, a lot of my friends live there and they love it. I only visit it, and I'm not a huge fan of big cities. But hey, it has everything you could ask for I guess. It's like a nice new york really.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

-20, that's it? That's really nice. I hate winter here so much, -50 is retarded. And I love warm, humid summers. Is Uni expensive there do you know? I'm going to start here because it's cheap but I'm not sure how much longer I can handle this weather. -5 winters sound pretty sweet to me.

I'd love to live somewhere exotic but I also love big cities. If I did move to Toronto it probably wouldn't be right IN Toronto but maybe Mississauga? Somewhere on the outskirts-ish but still in the city. I would hate living downtown. What are the cheaper areas? Decent, cheap areas? What are the bad areas?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Well, there's UFT which is one of the best universities in Canada if I recall. When I was applying for courses I think undergrad was around 10 to 15 thousand or something. I think that's about typical these days, but I'm not sure.

As for places around toronto, it really depends where you want to live or how far. There's a ton of areas in the GTA and some are really bad and some are really good. It's just you'll want to live near a transit system if you plan to work within toronto. Like New York or other big cities, forget about driving. Can't really recommend at outlying area in GTA though, because I'm not totally familiar with them. All my friends there live near or in downtown (which is incredibly expensive...)

But if you don't mind driving into the city for around an hour there's a lot of nice places. I live an hour away and my city is a nice one, and there's a handful of others lying just outside of the GTA. Just depends on what you'd like I guess.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Oh, so people don't drive much within the city? Cause in Winnipeg that's what everyone does, the transit system here is a joke. Right now I live a couple streets away from the UofM which is really nice. I don't want to have to drive an hour to get anywhere, really. Living by the university is awesome, but it's probably expensive like it is here, right? What are apartment rents like?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Well, like I said, it's like New York. You can't drive because the traffic is so bad, so you have to rely on buses, trains and subways. As for apartments, really depends where you plan to live. I can only go on what I know from people I know, and that ranges from $800 a month to $2,000. The former being a pretty nice place just outside of downtown, and the rent is split with a roommate.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Well that sucks. I've never ridden the bus here and I don't plan on doing it anywhere else on a regular basis. **** it, I'll just wait until I'm done school and then move to cali.

Posted by WillisGreeny

Cali's worse than Florida... :/ I don't get you.

Posted by Ant

Quoting Iron Koala: Cali's worse than Florida... :/ I don't get you.

WHAT DO YOU BASE THIS OFF OF?

Posted by cool gamer dad

i seen florida on tv once

Posted by Corrupt

Anything south of LA sucks, pretty much. I used to say that everything south of SF sucked, but I've gained some respect for LA in recent years. Nothing beats San Francisco, though. Also, I can't fucking believe that at least several people in SF said that they'd rather live in SD than their city just because of the Mexican food. Yeah I know it's good, but I mean... come ON. You're not missing that much!

But yeah, where do you get this whole "Cali sucks harder than Florida" thing? Genuinely curious.

Posted by Ant

CALIFORNIANS UNITE!

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Dude, move to North Carolina. It's like a boiling Canada with a lot of black people. Charlotte is a pretty amazing city. Right down your alley I bet. Hot, nice people, big city and downtown, but with a lot of nice outlying areas to live in. Yeah, totally the perfect place.

Posted by Corrupt

Quoting Ant: CALIFORNIANS UNITE!

i'm proud to be a californIAN <----- xD

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

california sucks

Posted by Corrupt

What part of California did you move from?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Orange County.

Posted by Corrupt

Ah, then no wonder you didn't like it. Not trying to convince you otherwise, but I will say that NorCal rocks the shit out of most of SoCal.

Or wait, I remember you said you moved because of earthquakes. Yeah, those are everywhere. Understandable.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Well, that's why my mom and dad moved anyways. Not like I sat up in my crib and said I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THESE ****ING EARTHQUAKES. I'M OUTTA HERE

Posted by Ant

Earthquakes are fun. Tell your parents ANT from VGC said they are pussy faggots.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Just sent an email to my dad with that in quotations.

Posted by Ant

LOL. Looking forward to the response.

Posted by Corrupt

I'd ask you to send something like that to my mom's e-mail, but she'd probably freak out and think someone was stalking her :(

But yeah, be sure to post the response.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

It won't be funny. He's a super serious guy.

Posted by Ant

and yet you sent him an email with me calling him a "pussy faggot". nice

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

He has a terrible temper, nothing he hasn't heard or said.

Posted by BLUNTMASTER X

didnt you say your dream for 10 years time is to be living in a cabin until your dad dies?

hell yeah

Posted by WillisGreeny

But Vamp also said he was looking forward to getting married in one thread, and then said how much marriage sucks in another. I don't know what to believe!!! Maybe he actually wants to have a Smash Brawl Father and Son moment in 10 years!!!

Ah yes... Another of my fluff posts completed.

Posted by Linkman

I don't think Vamp knows what he wants.

I'm the same way!

I'm looking forward to marriage and I know I'll get married. But I also know it'll likely suck, take a lot of effort and annoy the **** out me most of the time. But still, it would nice.

hahahaha oh jeez

so what happens now? are you likely to actually "talk" or is he going to forget about it?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

He'll likely call me in a couple days to question my choice in friends. I've had this talk before with him.

Posted by WillisGreeny

As a grim person, don't you already question your choice of friends anyway?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

no, as a grim person I'm indifferent to what happens around me

Posted by Ant

man, that response is classic parent.

[FONT=Tahoma]Tell your parents ANT from VGC said that response was classic parent.

If he's a parent of a 12 year old. Haven't been told "we need to talk" in a long time

does your dad still live with you?

oh man, he's gonna google Ant and VGC and HELLA stalk you dude.

Posted by Apathetic

**** yeah california

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Does your dad have a cat?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Mine? Yeah. Had two until recently, but one was a kitten that would jump on counters, sit on clothes and play "too rough" with the older cat so instead of doing anything positive about it my dad gave it away.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

k your dad was cool for a second there.

Quoting Angelwing: I don't want to live in america. It's just Florida is awesome and hot.

Florida's not that great at all. Humidity sucks there. Hawaii is a lot better. Still warm and way less humidity. More ocean and cosplaying, too. And do you even use health care? Last time I checked you had all sorts of health difficulties but weren't much more hospital visits. If you don't utilized your sources, then they're not worth much. Also, you're not at an age where health care should even matter to you all that much. Canada is for the old. I'm not trying to talk you into moving to America, because I'm not all for it myself, but I'd still choose here over Canada.

I'd choose it over Japan, too, btw.

Posted by Linkman

Living in Hawaii would be awesome. I've considered moving there once I can afford to. being the freelance web developer I am, there's a lot of design inspiration there.

Posted by BLUNTMASTER X

are you rich

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Quoted post: but I'd still choose here over Canada.

Why?

Posted by WillisGreeny

One of my co-workers wants to move to Hawaii even though he has no money saved up, and still plans on finishing college. I'm perdicting he'll either accomplish one of his goals, or do niether.

Posted by Dexter

Personally, I really only meant to visit Hawaii for a little while after I finished getting my AA degree, but there was enough to keep me entertained and now it looks like I'll probably live here for awhile longer, possibly a few years. I might even continue my academics here.

Although honestly, I enjoyed Oregon's rain and fog a lot more. It suits my general mood better and it still has an ocean, a much grimmer ocean. Oregon's Agalloch and Falkenbach, while Hawaii is The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, and Elvis Presley. What's Canada?

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Neil Yong and Vinterriket. Grim, rebellious, though admittedly harmless and enjoyable, and often uplifting, folk rock of Young mixed with the cold, desolate ambience of Vinterriket.

I love humidity. And yes, I have been going to the doctor quite a bit lately and just recently went to a specialist and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I still need to see another specialist or two, then hopefully everything will be sorted out. I'll be taking at least a few drugs. I guess there's always canadadrugs.com!

What!? Canada isn't all bad. It just depends on where you live.

Posted by Dexter

I haven't spent more than a month in Canada but from what little I did gather, it was dull, at least when compared to America. Maybe it's the sadistic, psychotic behavior here that I find interesting. Or maybe there's more history here. I don't know much of anything about Canadian history and I don't see anything interesting happening there in the future, so my fascination with the place is minuscule. I like to be in places with action. If there's something note-worthy going on somewhere, that's where I'd like to be. Also, if I was ever going to move out of America, Canada would be one of the last places I'd choose because it really isn't all that different from America, at least when it comes to the qualities I'm looking for. What sort of boring move would that be?

Honestly, I'm starting to plan my next major trip and my sights are set on Yerevan, Armenia. From there I want to make my way towards Georgia and see how far I can go from there. Doubt I'd ever want to live there, but I'd love to spend some time around those areas to discover how I feel.

Japan was too na

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

Where in Canada did you go? It was probably winnipeg. No wonder you hate it.

Posted by Dexter

I don't hate it. I just don't see anything special about it, especially when it comes to my needs. I think I'm too adventurous for a place like Canada. Maybe if I saw a few highlights my idea of Canada would alter.

I don't even remember the places I saw. My sister lives somewhere a few hours drive above Montana. I've been all around that side of Canada a lot more than your side.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

You were probably just in the prairies. Prairies suck, you need to go to BC. I bet you'd like Vancouver.

Posted by Dexter

I bet I'd be totally bored. Does Canada have much of a difference when it comes to comparisons to American culture?

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

You're right, Canada sucks, it's the same. Go to Iraq, you'd have fun there!

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

If you want adventure then don't come to Canada. Don't go anywhere in North America because it's all the same with minor variations. Now, if you want sight-seeing or experiencing some of the nicer locations that nature has to offer in this world, well, that's what Canada is for.

Posted by Dexter

That's why I would consider Canada a good vacation location. I wouldn't want to live there at all. Really, when it comes to my current situation, Hawaii is an ideal location to live. It offers a mix of Asian and American culture.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

so, basically toronto

Posted by Ant

hawaii, toronto. same ****ing thing.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

if you want asian + american, yeah!

Posted by Dexter

I always thought of Toronto like Seattle. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Hurry up and move somewhere worth visiting, Lisa. I don't want to go to Canada again.

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

I might just do a few years of school here, first. Or maybe just one. idk, I have a really good job that's ideal for getting me through school!

it's like removing your avatar to show apathy.

OHHHHHHH.

still, I have my text color set in my options. take more effort to remove it.

I vouch for that, you pussies. Nah Torontos cool, got every sport I can think of, lots of stuff going on all the time. Most likely moving there later

As for you, move to Calgary, great atmosphere, has chinooks(spelling?) which is really awesome during the winter, 2 hour or so drive to Edmonton, and hardly any humidity during summer

Posted by Vampnagel P. Wingpire

meh, not warm enough. Winters are still too cold.
